It's a sad thing that happened but this is not limited only to electric cars it has happened many times in normal internal combustion vehicles too so I think it's just a scheme to get juice from the manufacturer...

It's usually all traffic fines from the stated emirate excluding the municipal fines like parking etc...

Rebuilding always depends on how badly worn the parts are in the rack they open it up then tell if it can be repaired and is the best and cheapest option with the guarantee backing the work it's a peace of mind

I sent my ravs steering box and they gave me the wonderful news of that it's broke inside so can't be repaired I had to get another used one with guarantee but had to change few racks before I got a good one ultimately wasting time energy and costs...as those used racks are sitting from God knows how long so as you fix it and steering pump pressure comes it starts to leak...

Have seen this happen in many old as well as new cars it's always the next weak spot which gives way then sooner or later it has mercy on you and leaves you alone for sometime...

People who mix different kind of coolants f**k up real bad yet time and again they do it or someone does it for them

Even people who use bottled water or line water also have it coming at them as those minerals in the water are gonna make things go cucu sooner or later

The only thing which makes sense theoretically is always using same brand and type of coolant and just incase you can't find it then used air conditioning drain water as when that evaporates it shouldn't leave minerals behind....

That's why I ask people to put ac water if in doubt or can't find the exact brand of coolant . As that will only dilute it and not make much issue...
