There's only really 4 places it can leak. The big seal around the housing cover, the bung, the pinion seal and the 2 seals at the end of the axle.

The only time I would ever consider using non manufacturer recommended spark plugs would be in a highly tuned engine. The manufacturer spends millions figuring out what works with your engine. Say your car is 300bhp, these magic spark plugs give you an extra 15% increase in power, that's 45 BHP. From a set of spark plugs? Sorry chum, it's never happening.

Hi Mehdi Im not an expert on where to purchase stuff, I usually tell people you go buy it and I'll fit it but I've been around Al Aweer before and seen the selection of Pajero parts and in my eyes, it's probably as good as anywhere to go to my accessories. My advice, if you see something you like, just buy it. Maybe check the neighboring shops for comparison. Most of the time the shop will fit it, if they won't, your friendly tame mechanic will. For the money you save on the purchase price from driving to Sharjah or Ajman, you lose the same amount on fuel and time so it all balances out in the end. I'm based in Al Quoz and parts are more expensive there. If I drive to Sharjah to buy the same part and save 10 dhs, I've lost 20 dhs in fuel and 3 hours of my time at 150 dhs per hour, plus chai stops. Shop local, look at the bigger picture and save money in the long run. Theres always dragon mart for led bulb replacements and stuff. That place is a goldmine if you have the patience to walk around it. Just remember when you're buying budget parts, dragon mart or any mart, it's not ralliart. You get what you pay for.

2 spark plug changes and randomly suggesting changing parts with no diagnostic checks? Time to find a new mechanic. Just because the check engine light isn’t illuminated doesn’t mean there are no codes stored so start with a basic code scan to see what comes up. Run some live data, check MAF and MAP values and long and short term fuel trims and you’ll have an idea of what’s going on. Basic stuff really that any decent mechanic will do before changing anything.

The Cullinan is in a different league from the usual high end pseudo 4x4s. Feel free to correct me if I’m wrong but the Urus, Bentayga and the more ordinary Cayenne and Q7 share the same platform but the Cullinan is a completely different bespoke spaceframe chassis. Would be interesting to see how the spaceframe chassis performs as in theory, it should be lighter and stronger but from that picture, the suspension needs some work as there seems to be a lot of body roll and unnecessary stress on the tyre sidewalls.

One word, practicality. Sure, the majority of these pseudo off roaders will never go off road but you can comfortably seat 4 adults and have you ever tried to put a baby seat in the back of a GTC Lusso? Still, I'm not saying it was something I would buy if I had the money but they do serve their purpose and cater to a portion of the market. Hard to believe that the Urus is bigger than the LM002. I saw a LM002 and it seemed like a beast. But, that's the way things are now. You never realize how big the new models are until they're parked beside the old one.

That’s just bad luck that could happen to anyone chum. Really really shitty design by Porsche. There are kits now to fix the problem but you have to fix it before it starts, preventative maintenance that honestly should have been done as a manufacturer recall. A big problem here is a lot of people who own nice cars aren’t enthusiasts. They just buy something as a status symbol or nice piece of furniture and drive it and drive it with minimal servicing and no regards to marque or model idiosyncrasies.

My experience in working with cars here, trust nobody. Be savvy, do your homework, know the model of car your looking at, know the faults to look for. Always helps to have a tame pet mechanic friend to look at the car along with you and if they have an obd reader then all the better. Some people get funny when you ask to plug the car in and check the faults, that usually means they’re hiding something.

For future reference, it is possible to change the region on Mercedes radios. All except JDM. There was a problem a few years ago with the yakuza recoding radios to listen to police frequencies so now JDM is locked down tight.

You need to be careful if you’re planning to use lights in your trailer. Your vehicle uses canbus so you can’t just jack into the tail lights for power or it will cause all sorts of problems. You’ll need a proper smart box and maybe some programming.

I'd have zero issues doing a long trip in a Yaris. Small and noisy but that's what it is. It isn't a LS430. Drove one from Belfast to Dublin and back many times and had zero issues. Probably one of the most reliable cars on the road. Never done any work on them outside regular oil changes other than change a few front droplinks. Also to add facts, AC cooling ability has nothing to do with the car or engine size. The main factors are compressor size and condenser size.

In theory yes, but the fact that they haven’t done it already means they probably don’t know what it is. You can get small bottles of uv leak detector dye, they aren’t expensive. Pour it into the engine, start the engine and shine a uv torch onto the area where the leak is. The point of leakage will glow bright green

No need to lift the engine. Tell the garage to use UV dye and they’ll find the leak in under a minute.

That's interesting about the cockpit spray soaking into the foam of the dashboard. I've used it plenty of times on my own cars in the past. I've never built it up in layers though. Between uses, I've always cleaned the old stuff off with an (in)appropriate solvent first. A shiny dashboard does have its disadvantages, especially in a sunny climate. The sun reflecting off the dashboard back onto the screen creates an awful glare. Flocked dashes ala rally car would be a nice touch if they could ever make it durable enough.
