I will never choose a Japan made car over a American. They are totaly different mind set. If you want reliability go with Toyota for all other things American or European.

I am no expert on cars, but I really think  American trucks(SUV) are reliable enough. A little amateur research and few days in used car markets of Ras Al Khor, Sharjah, Ajman. I found that older American Suv are more expensive and Still alive and kicking, and they are fast selling. Checking online advs you call the person they say its sold.

  4. Is it True the New Tahoes are much better than Land Cruiser?

while having a debate in office this topic came up  that the Tahoe is Cheaper more Powerful , more Economical in Fuel vise, more better options, better torque ,more horse power,  more options better features more space.

Has finally Chevy came up to give better competition Toyota or it only a Myth.

I fell in love with a Tahoe I drove today for me it was far much better than driving LC200.

Lets see what my other friends have to say.

    Is America Great Again!

If the car is GCC and has a full service history, then owner need to put a strong foot down and ask Nissan to diagnose and fix it, as they simply can't say "I Don't Know".

Ask them to give this "I Don't Know" in writing first.

Then explore consumer rights option first, and if needed write a nice email to Nissan Japan for seeking help.

With your present story, you will very easily get ripped off outside and waste ton of money and time for as simple as cam position sensor replacement.

Thank you Bhai, Very true. I will do that tomorrow as I have already got written complains and Bill for checking. I will ask them to give me in written statement. Thank you so much for advise again.

    Congrats on your new ride.

Have you gone to original Nissan Dealer or Nishaan Dealer in Dragon Mart, lololol.

How come they cannot solve the problem?

Is car is GCC spec or exported?

    How many km driven?

How often this cut-off happen? At what speed? After how long driving?

Any other aftermarket electronics installed like theft control, remote starter etc.

How I wish it was mine. 1 Day for sure.

Its GCC model. it was beautiful ride now its 157K now just having this problem. some time it can go several Kms before switching off other time wont even go 2 km. Service only in Nissan . Full history. Engine is V8 but doesn't seem to give so that much power.

They cant understand why is this happening. Please if anyone knows about this problem let me know or can suggest some garage where I can take this car.

    Hmmmmmmm

We all love UAE and are happy for the opportunity to earn tax free cash but there is no denying the metro needs some proper enforcement.

Some people here don’t realise the opportunities they have. Treat your fellow travelers with respect. No offence to my Indian friends but you don’t have to climb on the roof of the train to get where you are going. Metro trains run every 3 minutes. Wait. You will get to where you need to go.

I ended up just buying a floyd rose equipped guitar. Glad I did because I just didn’t get along with it at all and sold it a few weeks later.

What kind of work do you need done? If it’s setup like truss rod, action, intonation etc I can do it for you. Can do wiring and other stuff too but I don’t have the tools to get into deep repair work.

Have this at work. Will be up for sale soon. Twin turbo V8 rock crawler Jeep with 4 wheel steering. Huge lift. Huge tyres. Huge sound system. All built around a WW2 fighter theme. Here’s a shot of the interior and a sneak peek at the bodywork. How many people can say they own a Jeep with twin mini guns on the bonnet?

Will post some more pics after the weekend.

It’s a good price for a professional garage. Especially including water pump and thermostat. That’s what I would charge.

If you want to go to one of the back street garages you could probably get it done for 2,000-2,500. But in reality, paying an extra £100-150 to someone who knows what they are doing is worth it. It’s a twice in a lifetime thing.

Hi everyone. So i went to a renowned workshop here in muscat for this problem and asked him to chk ac gas. He said that they do not chk gas just like most of the guys. They connected a machine (i saw that  machine for the first time), that machine sucked out all the gas and measured weight of that gas, then it sucked out compressor oil and measuring its quantity, then created the vacuum inside ac system and checked for the leakage. Gas was low, so it was filled back in system through same machine alongwith oil.

Machine detected a leakage as well, for that workshop guy put UV dye in system, kept running AC for 15 20 mins, and checked for any leakage under ultra violet light. Alham dullilah there was no leakage found.  He thoroughly checked all pipes, hoses, valves, compressor,  condenser  but no leakage was found. He even inspected the water dripping  down from evap on floor for any leakage of refrigerant. But nothing found...and suggested me to bring the car back in case of problem occurs again.

Alham dullilah Ac is running perfectly now.. with awesome cooling....

Below is that machine.. mamy of u might have seen it, but for me it was something new...

I saw that machine with @Barry in those Pajero Days

If you can't polish it out, its probably went through the lacquer and down to the paint. I have a good guy who does smart repairs, can fix it without repainting the whole panel. Message me if you want his number.

    How to contact you BRO!!!

How do you guys do Salik recharge?

I don't use Salik much and that's why I am always afraid of forgetting to top up via Emirates Bank online payment.

Can we possibly link to a bank account or credit card for auto pay? Also if paid by credit card, do we get cash back too as a discount on Salik recharge?

I linked my Salik with my DIB account autorecharge. No issue but no discount.
