You could go to most off-road shops and they will install a killswitch for 200 aed or less. I would recommend to do this since the airbags need to be deactivated too, you do not want them to go off while offroading.

I think he was going too much to the right side and was afraid to run over the people there, seems he was trying his best to correct it and try to go through the path, you can see he is reducing his speed. or he just need some basic offroad classes.

Trip report. We all met on time at the designated meeting point, we moved sharply at 7:00 to the deflation point. We started directly at a good pace to the technical dunes doing a quick summary of the basics since we started where the newbies start but at a much more fast pace. We moved quickly to Faya with just some minor refusals. It was nice to find Faya just for ourselves where we did a climb contest. After that, we found a tree nearby to have breakfast. Thank you @Rahimdad for the Paratas. Once we finished with our food we played around Faya and that's where the fun started, @Shamil was stuck in a tricky spot so it took us about 40 minutes to recover him, thanks to @Emmanuel for his sweep, this helped us to refresh our memory on the basics on shoveling. After that, we started to move towards fossil rock and I hit a bush and my tired popped out. After putting it back in and inflated we continued to move towards Fossil Rock where we had our last peace of fun at the back of Fossil Rock where the Xterras were no match to the Jeep as they had some issues climbing the dunes. By this time it was 11:40 so we decided to exit. We started and finished on time and I hope everyone liked my first lead. Thank you everyone and I will see you on the next one.

I would like to invite all Intermediates and above to do something different and do a fast pace trip from Maleha to Faya. We will start from the newbie area in Maleha and continue our way to Faya and go back to Fossil Rock. This will allow us to go back to basics and practice in a wide range of dunes. We will explore and alternate between side sloping and basic ridge crossing techniques and enjoy whatever this area has to offer in a fast pace. Depending on the pace and progress we will exit at Faya road or exit at fossil rock. This drive is for Intermediate and above level only. Please check if you have all required tools and gear on board as per your assigned drive level. I was sweeping for a raptor, a tundra and a silverado last saturday, the path was flat afterwards 😂 but they were out there. but you are right they are not very common. but it was fun to see the massive tundra doing that.

Yeah, never been a fan of the four doors, I have driven a couple of them and that extra weight just kills the power. It is a lot of difference driving a two door vs a four door.

Im looking forward to see this on the sand. I was disappointed when I saw the Gladiator out there. I had to recover them many times. That long wheel base is awful.

I asked myself this question too when I was going to buy my jack, the scissor jack is useless but the problem with the electric jack is that when fully extended is very unstable and not to mention that all the sand will eventually mess up with the electronics inside. Sometimes is better to go old school.

I already drive at 8 psi and I don't use beadlocks, but I use thick wall tyres that can withstand that low pressure. I can even go lower but it would not be much of a difference.

For sand driving you don't really need alloy. Steel would be enough. We don't run much into rocks or other hard surfaces. The good thing about steel is that if bended you can bend it back with a big hammer.
