  1. @Immortal Cannot agree any less to what is said here. Xterra is serious hardcore offroader but doesn't mean its not good daily driver like other serious offroad cars. I own my xterra for about 18 months now. Bought it as second car for offroad only. But now i hardly drive my other car. I agree that prado is very good choise for family use, offroad and for daily drive aswell. But with 70k budget your probably gona end up with high mileage 2010-2013 model. Instead if u decide for xterra you might probably spend max 50-55k for 2014-15 good condition car. Still you will have some spare cash to spend on mods if you wish or some camping gears. The major compromise would be xterra is 5 seater instead of 7 seat in prado. And 80l fuel tank in xterra instead of generous 150l in prado. Other than that everything else is almost similar for both cars even offroad performance. Sorry for stirring your thoughts, but this is my 2 cents opinion. Happy car hunting.😊
  2. if you are lagging on appointment to get the booster shot, you can get it done as walk in at Oud Metha vaccination center. https://goo.gl/maps/ni4vyuJZ4TT76N8F8 i did as walk in last week. I feel fishy here @Christian Andras... looks like gaurav is paving way for FJ bowl. 🤪
  3. Good old days... 😂🤣😂 Me too did the same thing on every sunday.
  4. also if you have mud flaps remove it. that will be first thing you will lose in desert in case if you get stuck. btw i have same skid plate and it served me well. during last 1.5 years.
  5. @ZedHere is the bowl you are referring to. I have been there once and its was simply astonishing, its shame we cant go back again. if you want to awe your self a bit look into below drive thread for some awesome videos.
  6. congratulations and welcome to Xterra gang, @ZULFIKHAR NAIYAR. very good choice 2014 offroad version means you are unstoppable from now on.. 😁 im afraid we are not allowed to mention specific garages here. as @M.Seidam any popular off road garage would do. if you join Xterra mafia UAE facebook or watsapp group you will get more info.
  7. It was pleasure to meet you my friend @M.Seidamtoday morning, looks like you had an exiting drive today morning, I think you had a surprise stuck over there with your nose dive. and you might have even more surprised when you stick your shovel to that hard sand. i felt like we are shoveling some wet concrete today morning, 🤪
  8. its great to meet bunch of new faces with smile and enthusiasm on sunday morning, Also i had pleasure to meet @Frederic new desert companion. it was real unicorn, 👍 everybody managed very well today. unsurprisingly the sand was much forgiving due to the dampness. hope to see you all regularly on coming weekends. Have a nice week ahead, 👍
  9. as fred said aftermarket lockers can be added, or you can swap to offroad version rear diff, but offroad and non offroad differential ratios are different so you need to change off road front diff also along with it. so overall its no brainer to convert non offroad to offroad, its more costly than buying offroad version. the fog light is an easy addon. most never model extras will have the wiring done inside fog light space you just need to install the light and switch.
  10. @ZULFIKHAR NAIYAR looks really nice, if its driven only 70k shud be in very good condition. but still get it checked from a trusted mechanic for a piece of mind. even i fee like 45k is very steep for basic version. compared to full option offroad version not having rear diff lock is not a deal breaker but it make self recovery like walk in the park. also basic option might not have cruise control which is another convenient i would not want to miss out. rest is pretty much same in all the variants. i have 2012 offroad version and i enjoy it everyday. Good luck with your purchase .
