  1. Thank you @Zed for the wonderful thread and welcome back stronger than ever. I would like to add a very important mod not mentioned along the beautiful and informative discussion ( or was it and I overlooked it 😄 ? ) is : the installation of kill switch to the ABS and traction control . I think in order of priority it comes after the tires and bash plate . Personally when I entered the desert from the scratch I had my tires replaced to Yokohama A/T and the bash plate 10 mm installed to my X ( while for Absolute and NB not a must , but I wanted to have the feeling of it from the beginning and build on that my progress and skill without altering it if I would have done these later ) then after the first fiewbie a installed the kill switch because my ABS was kicking soon . Regarding lift kit and other mods mentioned earlier in the discussion of this thread till now I didn’t feel the need to do it and personally I am happy so far till now and I can take my X to where ever I want . I would like to share important fact from recent experience regarding the kill switch ( I don’t know how will work with LC ) but it worked with @Frederic and with me. When you are in stuck situation switch back on the traction control on again ( kill switch off ) which helps amazingly to let you out ) . I am planing later to make separate thread for this matter inshallah . cheers 🌷
  2. Let’s put “ Ego” aside momentarily , speed and approach to the ridge is fast and improper ( if I was in such speed I would slow gently without releasing the accelerator paddle , and won’t ride the ridge this way and steer left down . Now with “Ego “ or “overconfidence “ .. the driver decides to ride the ridge as such , now riding a long ridge in descend to me is more difficult than ascend as speed and control is extremely sensitive here to avoid fishtailing on the ridge which what happened with the driver , now trying to correct it in such speed let to initiate a second fishtail that aided the vehicle jump back to the side we see in the video and was about to flip , however input to the steering to avoid flip brought the third fishtail that driver couldn’t apprehend any more which lead to the sad roll over . what I learn is always sticks to the basics and try all your best play it safely and when it come to “ gut versus Ego” I will always choose what my guts tell me and just ignore the Ego and swerve it behind with big smile 😄
  3. This is the word I wanted to see ( (( ((( EGOOOOO ))) )) ) .... please please and pleaaaase ego and desert don’t match even if you are walking not driving in the desert . I like your analysis @Abdul Rahman Abdul Kader 👍
  4. I found this of simple and informative regarding diff lockers which is better the rare , front or both to have ? depends on the situation and terrain sure. while what we do rarely requires both and front , however knowing how works and when to use is of no harm . I am a baby dune lover 😆And if alone definitely I will need both in a time !
  5. Another one regardless of vehicle brand what has happened ? The first passed and the second got refusal hint : always remember desert means proper momentum along the right approach
  6. Maybe not good quality video but we are trying always to analyze others mistakes to learn from it . what has happened here ? And could it be avoided ? here you go 👇
  7. @Ahab Shamaa excellent job buddy indeed , thanks for sharing the visuals 👍 only one thing crossed my mind isn’t it better to secure the 2t floor jack horizontally , from fluid ( oil ) stasis in gravity dependent position that theoretically may leak by time ) !
  8. @Tamas Hoffmann well deserved buddy well done and hearty congratulations 👍
  9. I have always loved this lovely beast regardless of all of the pain in the dessert. And @Brette I respect your perspective that along with your beauty you reached that far cause at end of the day it’s finally the one who is behind the wheel 👍🙏🏻
  10. I like the side ones , I have no problems with blind spots obscuring as I have long time adjusted my side mirrors 😄 having the rare setting could be a problem to look through via rare mirror and also I am not sure if RTA will have a word about it . Otherwise it’s lovely secured neat and keeps everything in order 👍
  11. Congratulations Pancho. loved driving with you last time was epic . @Pancho
  12. @sertac I liked the thread name and I believe it’s valid even after you entered the world of X later and me from the very start .... who knows what the tide brings tomorrow ?!
  13. I am realy not sure which brand the previous owner put I never asked . However I could just mirror my I phone screen to the android screen
  14. Most of the stuff is supporting the android system not IOS in X . However what are you suggesting Angela is worth digging to find out as my I phone holder , one more jump , and game over ! I have an android build in from previous owner and I don’t wana shift from apple which I am using since appeared in this lovely country !
  15. @Vanessa8580 huge congratulations and certainly deserved 👍 I am sure you will continue to inspire all the lady drivers ( as you are always saying : girl power 😄 ) toward the highest and finest contribution to Carnity offroad club . Well done and again congratulations once more 🙏🏻
