I agree with Anthony, it might be crowded at the sides of the dirt track given its accessibility, what do u think @Frederic, do we deflate and move a bit deeper in the desert to avoid congestion and noise?
2WDs can park by the side and get in the cars with the rest of us to the camping spot.

Hi @Frederic,
currently i have a gopro only, i hope it can capture good pictures, i consider myself as an absolute newbie in that sense though i do have some knowledge about the manual settings.

I agree, i have been there a couple of times, and it was really abused with too much traffic around it.

Thanks @Frederic for the awesome drive, it was a very enjoyable drive, we have got a bit of everything as far as the UAE can offer.
by the way is the fossil rock now closed to Off-roaders? If yes, same for hiking? I recall they closed it some time ago.

Hi @Frederic,
i assume we will be passing by a gas station in between? i doubt the full drive will consume a full tank but just in case

Hì @Chaitanya D
Thanks for the great drive, it was good having those short breaks to enjoy the night sky and nice weather as well , and for all the support team, thanks for making this a very smooth ride given the length of the convoy on a night drive. Looking for the coming night drive soon.

I drive my FJ on 4H, i had to engage the 4L only for self recovery and while declining a steep ramp for engine break. But 4H is doing just fine all the time at least for me, sometimes i keep a low gear on 4H when i need to climb up tall steep ramp but i keep it always on the High didn't need to go to 4L for high climb yet.
On the other hand someone kept driving on 4L because he didn't want to get stuck at the end the transmission overheated and broke in the middle of the desert but just to note it was a fast drive.

Amazing to all of the participants and especially the leads, that seems to be quite an event, hopefully will be able to join in next time.
It will be good to have some lessons learned and some hands on experience gained by all of the participating teams to be shared with everyone, i assume it was quite an experience.
And for Carnity team, thanks for arranging such events making it really interesting and joyful to be part of such group.

i agree the FJ is a great off road car, but it has relatively small trunk capacity so if you are planning to go overlanding or few days camping with passengers in the back seat you will have a bit of a trouble to fit all what you need inside, especially if you are including the recovery gear, compressor ...etc. i had to install a roof rack which adds extra weight and compromises slightly the centre of gravity in addition to air noise while speeding on the road.
i think the price range is exaugurated , i got mine little more than a year ago 2012 model xtreme edition with 45K, and it was really in good condition, i doubt the prices had gone that high since then.
on that topic, a friend of mine wanted to by a wrangler, started looking at dubizzle but he found very limited options, of all the cars.
where do we search for used cars nowadays?

Revisiting this topic from a different angle.
Do we have to cover light bar during driving in the city?
Is there specific Emirates that would fine uncovered light bars?
If so what would the fine be in such case?

Hi, do we need to cancel from our side or the is automatically cancelled given the recent event?
also will it be moved to the following weekend or it will be a fresh plan?
