Thanks Srikumar - Actually I was looking for a dedicated car for me as a daily driver and weekend drives. My intent is to stay away from the LC200 which is predominantly used by the family. Montero Sport seem to meet my budgets with relatively less mileage in general. The FJs and Y61 (my desired) at my budgets are being too hard to find.

Doing the math it seems the Montero Sport compares equally with more agility - Is this a good mid-size SUV to consider?

Hi @Gaurav - I note you had listed Armada (off-road version) on the best 4x4 discussion as a good vehicle to buy. How do I identify this model from the regular model? Is there anything distinctive that can be easily recognized?

Thanks for the feedback. The LC200 is primarily a family car and mostly used by my dad during the weekdays. I was thinking to get something specially for me that have good off-road abilities as well - the prices on secondhand (as I am still learning) Armada is also quite interesting.

Hi All, I am planning to buy an Armada (2012 or 2013 model) as my daily driver + the weekend offroad vehicle with the Carnity family. Do notice a lot of feedback in various discussions on its sheer size and weight but does it feel much different than a LC200? Hi Carnity Family, Though I am very new to off-roading and have just started by AMAZING drives with this family, I was just wondering if it is mandatory to install skid plates on our LC 200 GXR v6 model. In my very limited and newbie knowledge, LC seem to have some covers underneath but I seek the professional expertise and knowledge of the Carnity family to advise. Look forward to hear from you!
