ANNOUNCEMENT Safety Recall Campaign Statement: Certain 2014 model year Ford E-Series and F-150 and 2014-2015 model year Ford Escape and Lincoln MKC vehicles for Attachment Bolt Replacement In coordination with the Ministry of Economy - Consumer Protection Department and in line with the commitment of the Ministry of Economy to conduct an on-going review of all products in the UAE and provide the consumer with the required protection, Al Tayer Motors, the local importer -dealer of Ford vehicles in the UAE, and Premier Motors, the official dealer for Ford vehicles in Abu Dhabi, announce a safety recall campaign for certain 2014 model year Ford E-Series and F-150 and 2014-2015 model year Ford Escape and Lincoln MKC vehicles, manufactured in the United States of America, for attachment bolt replacement. In some of the affected vehicles, certain attachment bolts for the seats, seatbacks, seatbelt buckles and/or seatbelts may have been improperly hardened during manufacturing. Improperly hardened bolts may be more susceptible to fracture and the structural integrity of the seat could be compromised in a sudden stop or crash, increasing the risk of injury. In the UAE, 414 vehicles are estimated to be affected by this recall campaign. In the interest of delivering the highest standards of Ford quality and customer care, Al Tayer Motors /Premier Motors will begin contacting the affected customers to inform them about this recall and update them on the further process. Parts and repair instructions necessary to perform the recall action are estimated to be ready by Q4 2017. As soon as the parts are available, customers will be notified to bring in their cars for part replacement, which will be done free of charge. Every effort will be made to minimise any inconvenience caused during the short time required for the work to be carried out. ANNOUNCEMENT Safety Recall Campaign Statement: Seat Track Pivot Link Bolt inspection and repair of certain 2016 Model Year(MY) F-150 and Explorer vehicles equipped with power seats In coordination with the Competition Consumer Protection Department in the Ministry of Economy and in line with its commitment to conduct an on-going review of all products in the UAE and provide the consumer with the required protection, Al Tayer Motors, the local importer - dealer of Ford vehicles in the UAE, and Premier Motors, the official dealer for Ford vehicles in Abu Dhabi, announce a safety recall campaign for certain 2016 MY F-150 and Explorer vehicles equipped with power seats, manufactured in the United States of America, for Seat Track Pivot Link Bolt inspection and repair. In some of the affected vehicles, the seat track pivot link bolt for the front power seat may loosen and/or fall out. A front seat cushion with a missing seat track pivot link bolt may experience increased movement in the event of a crash and may not properly restrain occupants, increasing the risk of injury. In the UAE, 704 vehicles are estimated to be affected by this recall campaign. In the interest of delivering the highest standards of Ford quality and customer care, Al Tayer Motors/Premier Motors will begin contacting the affected customers to inform them about this recall and request them to bring in their vehicles for seat track pivot link bolt inspection and repair. The inspection and repair will be done free of charge. Every effort will be made to minimise any inconvenience caused during the short time required for the work to be carried out. ANNOUNCEMENT Safety Recall Campaign for certain 2017 Ford F-150 vehicles with a 10R80 Transmission In coordination with the Competition Consumer Protection Department in the Ministry of Economy and in line with its commitment to conduct an on-going review of all products in the UAE and provide the consumer with the required protection, Al Tayer Motors, the local importer - dealer of Ford vehicles in the UAE, and Premier Motors, the official dealer for Ford vehicles in Abu Dhabi, announce a safety recall campaign for certain 2017 Ford F-150 vehicles with a 10R80 Transmission, manufactured in Dearborn, United States of America, to replace the transmission roll pin. In some of the affected vehicles, the roll pin attaching the transmission shift linkage to the transmission may come out If this happens, movement of the shift lever by the driver will not change the state of the transmission gear. The transmission will remain in the gear it was in when the pin came out regardless of the position of the shift lever. If the roll pin comes out a driver may experience a loose or low effort feel of the shift lever; the shifter indicator could display inaccurate gear position in vehicles with floor shifters; if the transmission is not in Park when exiting the vehicle, the ignition key can be removed, but a warning chime will sound, a message will indicate 'Transmission Not in Park' and the driver would not be able to restart the vehicle; and if the vehicle cannot be shifted to Park and the parking brake is not applied, unintended vehicle movement may occur, increasing the risk of accident or injury. In the UAE, 56 vehicles are estimated to be affected by this recall campaign. In the interest of delivering the highest standards of Ford quality and customer care, Al Tayer Motors/Premier Motors will begin contacting the affected customers to inform them about this recall and request them to bring in their vehicles to replace the transmission roll pin. The replacement will be done free of charge. Every effort will be made to minimise any inconvenience caused during the short time required for the work to be carried out. ANNOUNCEMENT Safety Recall Campaign for certain 2015-2017 Model Year (MY) F-150 and 2017 MY F-Super Duty Vehicles In coordination with the Competition Consumer Protection Department in the Ministry of Economy and in line with its commitment to conduct an on-going review of all products in the UAE and provide the consumer with the required protection, Al Tayer Motors, the UAE importer - dealer of Ford vehicles, and Premier Motors, the official dealer for Ford vehicles in Abu Dhabi, announce a safety recall campaign for certain 2015-2017 MY F-150 and 2017 MY F-Super Duty Vehicles, manufactured in the United States of America. In the affected vehicles, a frozen door latch, or a bent or kinked door latch actuation cable, may result in a door that will not open / will not close, or opens while driving, increasing the risk of injury. In the UAE, 2473 vehicles are estimated to be affected by this recall campaign. In the interest of delivering the highest standards of Ford quality and customer care, Al Tayer Motors/Premier Motors will begin contacting the affected customers to inform them about this recall and request them to bring in their vehicles, as soon as the necessary parts are available. The parts required to perform this recall are expected to be available at the end of Q1 2018. The recall action to install door latch water shields in the affected doors and repair any kinks in the latch actuation cables will be done free of charge. Every effort will be made to minimise any inconvenience caused during the short time required for the work to be carried out.
