  1. Past hour
  2. Was great to be on that drive today with all of you. @DP1011 since it was my first drive with you i had to show you first hand what the name really stands for and i have that contagious effect. Was a great mix of technical and fun. Was a heavy fun sandy day with the second drive as well. @Luke K P always a peace of mind having you in the convoy with your experience and armageddon readiness. @Talal H the fun just started you should beat the heat great second fewbie drive from you and @ChrisW
  3. Today
  4. Thank you very much @Davie Chase and @Gary F for amazing experience, lots practice, advices Thanks @Hani crest king for being with us this drive, we need crescent king every drive)) And of course other drivers, it was pleasure to drive with you!
  5. Today when was inflating tires after drive @Davie Chase and @Gary F were shocked when I said 45psi, but I took that number not from fantasy, maybe wrong, but.. my previous tire size was 265/70r18 and new one LT285/65r18 So here pressure-calculator you can calculate, when you change tire how you should change pressure, on OEM tires it was 35psi, but on LT tires which are wider its showing 46psi equivalent
  6. Thank you @DP1011 for a great season finalΓ¨ (for me) drive. @Davie Chase really prepped me last week for Faya so this week was a breeze. Thanks @Aser for the duct tape! But no thanks for ruining my paint. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‘ but yeah "do you want your bumper or your paint" No thanks for @Luke K P for making me want a Ranger Raptor so bad now. Perfect product out of the box. Great follow by @Nitish Sharma through some sketchy drops. Shoutout to @Hani crest king for getting a pop out on a 6 am drive and still going to a 2:30 pm drive on the same day! Gunning to be crew rank in the fastest way possible. @ChrisW was a great immediate lead making everything look effortless in his beast of a Jeep. And huge props to @Alexanderrr and @Sandeep Nayar for the smooth operations.
  7. @Melenany do you have any Saudi-based off-road club recommendations?

  9. Have a look at RiyadhRovers on Instagram. Not sure how big they are or they are still posting drives.
  10. Hi everyone, A friend of mine from work may be buying my Pajero though he lives in Riyadh for work. He's interested in joining a club if he buys my Pajero or some other offroad vehicle and I'm wondering if anyone here knows of any decent, well organised, and safety conscious driving clubs in the Riyadh area. Can't wait to get back onto the sand. Having withdrawal issues at the moment. 🀣 Thanks Emanuel
  11. Next time we loop around and take the sand back πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘
  12. I dont think that's a fair conclusion tho... you're asking in a Carnity Forum but applying it elsewhere. Carnity Intermediate is not the same as other club's intermediate or experts. So what works here may not apply elsewhere, and it all depends on the car. Granted, you're asking for Jeep Wrangler, but when you're leading a drive, you get a sense of what works for the whole convoy, and the Seniors of Carnity have given that input by suggesting 4Hi. This I concur, all my 100 drives with Carnity I don't see a need to go 4Lo except to self-recover. Once when driving with friends outside this club, we did notice my friend's Jimny was struggling in certain climbs we're doing, so I asked his permission to try out his car and him in passenger chair. After various trials we find that the Jimny performs well in climbing with 4Lo instead of 4Hi, and his Jimny was a manual.... thus we have a combo where some ppl drove in 4Hi and some had to go 4Lo, whatever works for that individual driver... So all these 4Lo vs 4Hi just depend on the car and the kind of drives, no one formula for all kinds of drives and for all clubs everywhere... Jimny changing to 4Lo to get out of bowl
  13. AD CARNITY CREW GOT STUNG TODAY 😭 Looks like I got caught in 1996 from the quality of the provided pictures....
  14. Yeah, I live in AD so the speed limit and red light traffic cameras are a well known feature for me! I have to admit that I thought I’d already crossed in to Dubai side and had a little slack as compared to the signs.
  15. Yea gotta be careful mate. Unlike dubai, the street photographers in AD snap ur plates at the speed limit and not one km over.
  16. Not sure if you caught my earlier post - but I had the same issue, and my solution was to change the ring and pinion (final drive ratio) - aka regearing.
  17. Yes, I am aware the Rubicon is not suitable for four low which I mentioned earlier, so perhaps I should be changing my car or changing my transfer case as I am struggling to see this is a technique issue since it is related to RPM and torque. This of course contradicts all that has been previously said on this thread about for low being unnecessary, even at an expert level.
