  4. Hi, a quick advice: I checked an xterra 2013 off road gulf spec with 250,000 kms. The car was smooth while driving and look well maintained. It has been used for off road for few newbie and fewbee drives. Only 2 modifications: kill switch and 10 mm skid plate. I don’t have much knowledge about cars but the 250k mileage bothering me. Will take it for a full paid inspection to make sure it does not have a major issue. Want valuable advice if I need to worry about the mileage and I believe the price quoted of around 35 k looks on a higher side. Please advice Thank you in advance.
  5. Do you really want to spend that money on 07 Pathfinder? Reason, I am asking that is because I haven't seen single of those models lasting more than 1 or 2 seasons in offroad. Simply because the approach and departure angle aren't the best, even after you trim the bumper or lift. Maybe I am wrong here, but if you have tested the car off-road extensively and yes it is proven to be the love of your life to be a worthy desert toy, then only it's worth spending on diff-lock. Secondly, rear diff-lock is good to have off-road recovery tool, but it's not a deal breaker as you will always have someone to help with a quick pull-out when you are off-roading. If you are into, solo adventure, then it's totally worth-it.
  6. If you still have the old clutch, you can get it direct by any lathe shop by locking it together with 4 nuts & bolts, so that it runs at 1:1 speed and will prevent overheating when stationary. Downside: It will be a little noisy, and sip little extra (about 5%) fuel, with little loss of HP (5-10 hp). For road use, you will hardly feel anything. When summer passes by go back new clutch fan after October. This will be cheapest and sure shot solution, rather than 3 core radiator, because with bigger radiator you need powerful fan to get that extra fluid cool down faster. The second easy solution is to have an aux 11-12 inch Spal (heavy duty - 4-inch thick motor) fan on the AC condenser, next to AC fan, and wire it to work on demand, when stationery it will help push more air and also cool down your AC temp to 5-7 degree at vent when it's 40+ outside. P.S. All the above advice applies when the car engine does not have any other issue.
