If all goes well we will be exiting at Big Red. Some pointers for tomorrow: - Please try to arrive by 5.45AM so you have time to deflate and set up your flag. - We will be using Channel 10 on our radio: 446.231 Mhz. - If you have Highway Terrain Tires, you can deflate to 14psi. With AT (All Terrain) tires you can go a bit lower to 12psi without issues. Keep an eye on the tire pressure throughout the drive as it will creep up due to the hot weather. See you all in the morning! 2 Link to comment
Frederic 24,093 Posted Sunday at 12:14 PM Thank you all for joining this morning! This was not a typical newbie level drive. We started from the farms and after climbing Pink Rock, we made our way to Little Red, which we climbed with ease. To top it off as the Yellow Jeep was waiting for us at the starting point, we decided to loop back and exit back from where we started. With hardly any refusals and zero stucks this was not a typical Newbie level drive. The fact we had so many Carnity seniors with us made it even more fun. @Maneesh M your spaceship was in your full command today. So well driven! I agree with your statement that however capable the Denza is, it's a big investment to take into the dunes every weekend. This is the main reason many of us have a separate off-road vehicle which can take a bit of a beating and is cheap(er) to fix. @Khalid Sharaf and @jamil abdollah if you have have previous or other club offroading experience (which seemed to be the case today), we can offer a quicker promotion to Fewbie level. You can click on below button and request it but in that case please do mention number of drives done / offroad rank from your other clubs or groups where you have driven so far. PROMOTION REQUEST If you made some photos, you can upload it in our Media Gallery. UAE's Best Offroad Club - Drive Gallery See you all in the sand soon again! 1 1 Link to comment
Khalid Sharaf 25 Posted Sunday at 02:12 PM Thank you @Frederic and the support team for today’s fun drive, I enjoyed it very much. Agreed that the convoy today was moving very smoothly which made it even better. Thank you for the promotion tip, I just submitted the application and also uploaded some photos from today’s drive. 1 Link to comment
Enrico - Mountain 32 Posted Sunday at 06:34 PM (edited) Thank you @Frederic and everyone for making it worthwhile getting up so early this morning. The sun peaking its head through the blanket of clouds and a beautifully blue sky was snapshot ready. I posted a few pictures for you all to see, now that I finally found where to do so on the media gallery. Edited Sunday at 06:35 PM by Enrico - Mountain Link to comment
Maneesh M 7 Posted Monday at 01:46 PM Thank you @Frederic and everyone. When I came to Dubai for first time I was so fascinated to get the license and drive on roads. But when it comes to driving in deserts, the adrenaline is 1000% higher. And yes I am seriously considering a cheaper car, probably a pajero. And I might need some guidance for initial research on the topic. 1 1 Link to comment
