Davie Smooth_Operator
Dear desert wanderers @Anoop Nair, @Carl Stanley, @Victor Socaciu, @Jon L, @Mark B, @Zubail, @Pramod B, @Sameer D. and @Jeandre Bezuidenhout firstly thanks for arriving on time and being ready to leave deflated flags up briefing completed etc. at 06:30. The drive meandered us from teh big red side of Tawi Nazwa to Pink rock and finished up at 2nd dec cafe exit. You all drove amazingly well, we only had a handful of refusals and stucks, even as teh sand got a tad soft in places. @Anoop Nair great S/L was a pleasure to know you were behind me smoothing out the lines for the convoy behind and following my every instruction to the letter. @Carl Stanley getting more confident on the climbs and the sideies etc, just need to pay around with gearing when climbing and learn to tell when that momentum is going to run out before it runs out and turn down, but definitely getting there mate. @Victor Socaciu great drive just a couple of refusals but great driving non the less you handled everything we threw at you with ease. @Jon L was great to see the power of the TRX in action again, we did learn that it has a temperamental heat sensor on the steering box and did not like trying to self-recover in the heat of the day. good to know and probably needs a little more research, same comment as for Carl with the momentum as well as angel of attach as we discuss at one of the breaks. @Zubail great driving in the expedition my friend, hope the bumper gets sorted out and the duct tape lasts until then, suggest you get them trimmed for sure or it will be a never-ending issue. @Pramod B good stuff today definitely better and smoother throttle and brake control exhibited today so well done and keep at it as it is coming together. @Sameer D. great drive today just watch those tire pressures and try to get that smoothness we are always talking to into your driving style, especially the Throttle and steering. @Jeandre Bezuidenhout fantastic sweep mate, thanks for being there gave me piece of mind having you at the back giving advice and keeping the convoy together thanks and appreciated @Mark B great command of the middle of the convoy mate, definitely see you growing into the support role from a knowledge standpoint, and fantastic to here the advice to others over the radio, keep it up and thanks for the great support today. @Jon L Thanks for taking the initiative to clean up the desert couple of pics below, and thanks to all team members in true carnity fashion who all pitched in with a quick clean up resulting in two black bags full of rubbish removed from the desert. well done to all. Yeah, my brother is laughing, he is saying you bought car or constructor to assemble 2 options. Trim all car or have 2nd desert car. But it was amazing drive, even with this thought the feeling of the car, the climbing high but without too much roar of engine, choosing right speed - it's so amazing, and of course views, sunrise, landscapes, good people around, it's amazing time, thanks a lot to you @Davie Chase @Mark B and @Jeandre Bezuidenhout It was great drive with funny refusals after inflation before tarmac Hope see you soon on sand! Take care all and have a nice weekend! Edited June 22, 2024 by Zubail 1

Jon L
Thank you, @Davie Chase, @Mark B, and the entire team for this incredible ride in Sharjah! It was an excellent training and a wonderful experience, especially with a couple of rainbows climbs. I'm glad we cleaned a small portion of the desert. It's often too filled with trash. We should institutionalize such initiatives in the community and be known for removing bags of filthy trash every weekend. Thanks for joining the initiative triggered by my son Sacha. Hi5 to everyone until the next one... @Davie Chase I'm discovering Relive App, it's such a cool tool 1
