Hetal
Huge thank you for a lovely morning! Joined the drive not too convinced I'd enjoy it as much as I did. Thank you for being so encouraging and helpful. Looking forward to the next one 😀 1
JeromeFJ
Thank you all for joining the drive today. The foggy morning gave us enough time to prepare the cars and do a first briefing. Then we started on the track, crossing ghostly camels and by the time we reached the dunes, the fog had cleared up and every one was ready to flow. The first portion of wide open dunes was perfect for warming up, even if the quiet flow required your full attention for some higher steps, a few steep descents, and crossing some ridges where the required momentum was not always easy to assess. @Jose Luis Campos got crested on a sharp ridge, @Yurybel 's bumper faced a bush at the bottom of a dune (the bumper was saved). A few other refusals, but nothing major. After a small break (thank you @Luke K P for the tea) we continued into a more technical area until the hidden Ghafeteen Bowl. Nice place to play around and push those engines a bit.... and learning to control a steep descent. Getting out of the bowl was not easy, with a few cars getting stucked just on the outside, but once this was over, you were all focused for the last technical portion until we reached the exit track. Very well done for our first time joiners @Jose Luis Campos, @Steve Farmer @Yurybel @Hetal @Sam_ 👏. Excellent driving from the more experienced NB @Abhishek Chikara @Arvindraj @Gilberto and FB @Jeevan Koshy, thank you @ChrisW for watching the end of the convoy as Sweep, @Luke K P for correcting my lines as Second Lead, and very big thank you to @Mark B to support from the middle of the convoy. You were everywhere when needed ! Enjoy the weekend and see you soon! 3 4

Yury.bel
Tks for today's drive, with my low bumper I have managed to damage it on one of the little jumps ) any idea if I should try to go with police report and insurance as insurance covers offroad drive or these types of damages should be taken care of by myself? If you are enjoying offroading and think you will continue I would just get the bumper trimmed and fixed yourself, as it will likely keep happening with a long bumper. However if offroading will be regular occurance, getting a police report and doing through insurance (remember your car will be tagged as having had an accident if you ever want to sell). Is prob good option too Edited September 28, 2024 by Luke K P
Yury.bel
Tks, I am taking the car to install skid plates in a week and already thinking just to change the bumper and get over it! 1 1
Jose Luis Campos
Hi @Luke K P, about that. Today we were talking about getting a second hand Bumper to trim and use it on off road adventures, while keeping my original at home until I sell the car. Do you know or have any suggestion where can I search for a Pajero front bumper? Edited September 28, 2024 by Jose Luis Campos

I'm down in Abu Dhabi, but I believe there is quite a few wreckers in Dubai Sharjah that can help with finding Pajero front bumper. @Gaurav is probably the man I would ask for advice on where to look around Dubai 👍
