Call for those who had not experienced Desert Champions Trophy. Plan is to go after some Red, Yellow and Green waypoints" of the recent DCT 2024 challenge and to find my radio (walkie talkie) which we had lost during the the DCT challenge. 

We request every member that joins this drive to go through the below information and strictly follow these guidelines, etiquettes and responsibilities.

MUST READ AND COMPLY

DRIVE DETAILS

Level:  Intermediate and above

When:  24 Nov 2024, Sunday 

Meeting time:  8:00 AM (Without any exceptions)

Meeting Point: https://maps.app.goo.gl/pLEvf3CFDsk4TbDp9

Approximate finish time:  1:00 PM 

Type of Car: Any proper 4x4 with front and back tow hooks and 8-10 inches of ground clearance.

What to bring along: Loads of water, snacks (for yourself), smiles, enthusiasm and willingness to learn.

Mandatory off-road gears: Tire deflator, tire pressure gauge, compressor, walkie-talkie radio, off-road flag, shovel, first-aid kit, Tow Rope, 2 Shackles and fire extinguisher.

LIMITED SPOTS AVAILABLE

  • This drive is limited to 5 cars only. RSVP will close on Saturday - 9 AM
  • If the RSVP is full, you can add your name to the waitlist, once anyone drops, you will be moved to the RSVP list.
  • RSVP will close a day prior to preparing a convoy list.
  • Latecomers will be returned back - Without any exceptions.
  • Members without RSVP will be returned back - Without any exceptions.
  • Please withdraw your RSVP, if you aren't joining, so your spot can be taken by others.
  • Repeated no-show members after RSVP will have their account suspended for a month.

@Andrew John Melvill @MUSTAFA hussain @Marek @Beide Worku  @Aser nice to see you all again. 

Plan of Action - Drive Time 5 hours, 16 waypoints and collect 175 points, Route 65km in straight line and additional 2 to 3km route in search of lost radio.  Requesting everyone to arrive at meeting point 30mins early so that we can start our drive at exact 8am.

We are not carrying any extra fuel, so make sure you fill your tank at last ADNOC station  A full fuel tank at the meeting point is (MUST)

Drive Preparation:

Ensure that your 4x4 is well serviced recently and all the lubes and fluids are topped up.

Spare tyre should be in good working condition. If not been used recently, ensure that you take it out and check the condition properly. Also ensure that you have the wrench that can be used to remove your tyre (if needed). 

Air compressor, proper shovel, flag, fire extinguisher, first aid kit and carry essential tools.

Fully charged radio (tuned to all Carnity Frequencies) with spare battery / radio. If you have a car charger for your radio, please bring it along. 

All traction controls, ABS and Air bags need to be switched off. If it requires pulling the fuse, please research before the drive or  post your queries on this drive post or forum and our experts would assist you.

Car charger / battery pack for your mobile.

Plenty of drinking water, 

Bring along your breakfast, snacks, dry food, energy bar, cookies, nuts, crisp to munch while driving.

Littering in the desert is strictly prohibited.
