Morning Fewbie Desert Drive - Qudra with Andrew the Emerging Lead - Dubai - 5 July 2026

DRIVE DESCRIPTION

We have the pleasure of having Andrew join us for his second partial lead. I will start off with a warm up and then Andrew will lead the remaining drive with me in Second Lead. Nestled in the heart of Dubai’s desert, Al Qudra offers a perfect mix of terrain for an exciting offroad adventure. We’ll kick off with a short sabkha drive and enter our first set of dunes near Three Trees. We'll head north-east and then take a break on a sabkha. Expect to be challenged where focus, skill, and patience will be the order of this part of the drive. Then onwards to the flowing Qudra Secret Dunes that allow for smooth cruising. Expect a dynamic route with plenty of opportunities to practice side-sloping and ridge riding, all while maintaining a steady, enjoyable pace.

DRIVE DETAILS

Level:  Fewbie and above  

When:  5 July 2026

Meeting time: 6:30 AM (SHARP - Without any exceptions)

Type of Car: Any proper 4x4 with front and back tow hooks and 8-10 inches of ground clearance.

What to bring along: Loads of water, snacks, smiles, enthusiasm, and willingness to learn.

Approximate finish time: 10:30 AM

Mandatory off-road gears: Tire deflator, tire pressure gauge, compressor, walkie-talkie radio, off-road flag, shovel, first-aid kit, and fire extinguisher.

LIMITED SPOTS AVAILABLE:

• This drive is limited to 10 cars only.  
• If the RSVP is full, you can add your name to the waitlist, once anyone drops, you will be moved to the RSVP list.
• RSVP will close a day prior to preparing a convoy list.
• Latecomers will be returned back - Without any exceptions.
• Members without RSVP will be returned back - Without any exceptions.
• Please withdraw your RSVP if you aren't joining, so your spot can be taken by others.
• Repeated no-show members after RSVP will have their account suspended for a month.

Hope you are all having a good weekend so far! Thanks for signing up to this drive, it should be a good one despite the heat, so please come prepared with enough fluids for yourself and your car.

Lastly if there have been any changes to your plans please update your RSVP and I will be sending out the final convoy order this afternoon. See you in the sand bright and early tomorrow.

Really looking forward to having you all join my 2nd partial lead. A big thanks to Emanuel for his support, we will be alternating the lead duties during the drive. 

It is very hot and humid at the moment, please ensure that your cars fluids have been checked and that you carry sufficient water for yourself and any passengers.
