Dear Desert Scenic Shovelers, hope you are all looking forward to tomorrow's adventures as much as I am. We have managed to accommodate everyone that was in the waitlist thanks to @Looper for agreeing to take half of the convoy. @Felix Obst @Andrei S @Frans M @Joseph Sebastian @Glenn W @Ishak @Mohit Gurnani @Zubair @Nadeem Ansari @Gertjan @Jaro Tuzinsky @Marketa Dobesova @Stan @Misha Puskar @Senthil Kumar @Tareq Al Turq @DP1011 @Looper We will be using Channel 4 (446.081) for Convoy 1 Lead Davie and Channel 2 (446.031) for Convoy 2 Lead Goutam (Looper) Plan is to move off as close to 6:15 as possible after the briefing, make our way to the watch tower where both convoys will meet up for a break and photo opportunities. Then onto the exit and hopefully exiting as close to 10 am as possible. Any issues my Mobile number is 0552106442. The convoy positions are as below

A Note for Convoy 2, we will go south to have a slightly different route than Convoy 1. Yellow track highlighted in the screen grab below is the Convoy 1 starting point and direction. The Black like will be taken by us. DRIVE PLAN We will start down the line on the way to Chimney in Al Faqa and take a track parallel to the Solar Park installations till we reach "Little Sweihan". We will cross some Technical Areas as well as a few Sabkhas on the way. MUST READ AND COMPLY Offroad Flag Guideline Two Way Radio Guideline Off road Driving Etiquette's Emergency details for all off-roaders Off Road Driving - Roles & Responsibilities DRIVE DETAILS Level: Fewbie Plus and above When: 21 May 2023, Sunday Meeting time: 5:30 AM - Sharp (Without any exceptions) Meeting Point: https://goo.gl/maps/4ANcSzkwCNB8Vtqi7 ( end of the road leading to solar power tower " chimney" near the tree ) Approximate finish time: 9:30 AM Type of Car: Any proper 4x4 with front and back tow hooks and 8-10 inches of ground clearance. What to bring along: Loads of water, snacks (for yourself), smiles, enthusiasm and willingness to learn. Mandatory off-road gears: Tire deflator, tire pressure gauge, compressor, walkie-talkie radio, off-road flag, shovel, first-aid kit, Tow Rope, 2 Shackles and fire extinguisher. LIMITED SPOTS AVAILABLE This drive is limited to 10 cars only. RSVP will close on wednesday - 10 AM If the RSVP is full, you can add your name to the waitlist, once anyone drops, you will be moved to the RSVP list. RSVP will close couple hours prior to preparing a convoy list. Latecomers will be returned back - Without any exceptions. Members without RSVP will be returned back - Without any exceptions. This was technically an extreme drive for me. The huge dunes and deep bowls - it was truly mind blowing. In this video you will see us looping around various bowls. You can enjoy some Indian Classical Fusion music along the way if you like. PS: At the time of posting this video - YouTube is still processing the 4K version which should be available around 1 am DXB time.
