  3. Warning πŸ’€ ( Please read before you join ) This Drive is not intended by all means for the faint heart or for ones who fears heights . Strongly reccomended not to bring distractors like passengers especially who fears heights and most likely to develop motion sickness I personally strongly advise not to join if you are not sure about your vehicle readiness especially the recovery points (check its integrity from now if they are solid and not rusty ) Children ( newborn , infants or toddlers ) are not allowed in this drive ( i will check and return without hesitation noncompliant drivers ). Plan : From start till end we will be looping around big red area and its surroundings in different style back and forth ascend and descend continuously and as a convoy and not as one by one turn climb. this means that we and our cars will be pushed to our limit hence a tremendous skill and focus is vital to enjoy this drive safely. Stay tuned ! 6. It looked more intense than I felt. This it the time we took the first break and moved towards the second part of the drive. While I was a bit surprised by it I clearly did not expect it to go the way it did. After 200 drives I would think I would know when and where to control speed but it seems I was fast enough to launch me, but not fast enough to land in all four. I am suspecting the uneven dune formation towards the climb. It’s always a learning experience, it never ends and plus is that it was good to learn without much expense.

  9. Dear friends @Rizwanm2 @Senthil Kumar and @Zed Thank you all for joining the drive last night and as a matter of fact it was a different style to cross and navigate three major grids in the dark in a β€œ straight line β€œ kind of route except crossing the tarmac and the major play areas at faya and big red which we couldn’t leave them without looping and climbing around them πŸ˜„ pretty fast . we had couple of crests and one unusual pop out which took us in total to stop for almost one hour to deal with them. Otherwise it was so enjoyable the drive especially in the big red which became one of my favorite spot recently in the night . We exited on time around 12:33 am with big smiles on the face of all of us. Special mention to @Zed who came all the way from so far to share the passion and also you were our savior recovering me and Rizwan in some tricky crests πŸ™ . till we meet once more take care and see you soon in the sand InShaAllah

  14. Thanks, guys for all the valuable advice. I checked the CV first as I have a special relationship with them (with extra lift, I shot too many CV in the past) and know very well how to check the shot CV, torn boot, or clak clak noise (tire revolution-based, regular clak at each rotation). It's sure not a CV. Same for shock, as it's not regular squeak or claking and only comes when the driver's front tire side is up, while the passenger's front tire is down. My mechanic checked it and his advice matches with @Stumpy Paj too that it seems the stabilizer bar bush is a little old, although not yet broken, torn or shaking. He didn't find anything else other than 50% doubt on that one bush. Also with the symptom, this diagnosis matches fully, as the stabilizer bar holds the balance between both wheels. Will get that change and test it again. Thanks guys.

  15. Thanks @edouard for your scraper suggestion, feel free to add with whatever you can. Every contribution matters. What I really want someone to contribute if they have spare time is to research all the above models and get their power-weight ratio. That can help a lot of new buyers in identify Good and Very Good 4x4 than borderline/acceptable 4x4 in terms of offroad performance. Especially in sand higher the power with lightest of weight is better. Find the exact weight and hp of each car from Wikipedia or other credible sources and then divide hp by weight. Example: 1999 Pajero weighs 1.7-ton Kg and GCC specs has 225 hp = 132 hp/ton Power-weight ratio benchmark for DUNE BASHING for STOCK cars: 60 - 80 hp/ton - Underpower for dunes 80 - 100 hp/ton - Borderline OK 100 - 120 hp/ton - Acceptable 120 - 150 hp/ton - Good 150 - 200 hp/ton - Very Good 200 - 250 hp/ton - Excellent
