Can you even do a gentle tug? I have always seen the hard ones ๐5 points

I have a post-DCT-syndrome, apologies my doctor sez not to do hard work including shoveling ๐ I am here just for @Frederic's stories and @Luke K P's coffee... best support I can do is, while sipping coffee, pull a gentle tug ๐ No doubt, I see great Support in the Middle and also at the End. Rest assured, any stucks will be winched by the Middle and any pop-outs will be fixed in no-time by the Expert who has experienced a lot of it... But it's Fred + Fewbie Plus, so expect a good-flow with rhythm and fun ๐5 points

Would there be interest for a monthly hike through the dunes, and occasionally even in the wadis coming winter? 3-4hrs, basic physical condition. We leave the 4x4 on the nearest parking and do a 3-4hr hike through the dunes. Afterwards a coffee or sitdown at the car or petrol station. Areas: - Qudra lakes and Last exit area - Faqa arboretum - Al Ajban - Fayah (AD) - Wadis and mountains From a sustainability perspective, we can assume that a convoy of 10 vehicles with petrol engines would consume around 400kg of CO2 on a typical morning drive (50km offroad). Being able to go out on a hike and still enjoy the dunes would improve overall health and save those 400kg CO2 as well CO2 emissions calculator: Calculate your carbon emissions | myclimate1 point

Yes absolutely. I donโt see us retiring from off-roading soon, but thatโs why perhaps we can in the future transition the club into offering a plethora of activities. From hiking to cycling / mountain biking, wadi walking, fishing, and anything in between We just need a few people to take the lead. We have a club, we have members, and we have a platform. With such a fantastic community we can pull off many adventures.1 point

@Stuart G this is a copy and paste issue Thanks for pointing this out I will update the drive post1 point

yikes never really done the calcs on CO2 emmissions before its really crazy how much is emitted from burning petrol. Im dropping like 60kg of CO2 when driving with a lead foot in desert on per 100km.1 point

My first DCT and you guys made it such a memorable one! Really good atmosphere, exuded all the values of Carnity that the senior team role model...light hearted, good fun, inclusive, with the right amount of safety and seriousness on the details. Thank you to all the team who organised the drive, the event and the evening's food and entertainment! Rolling back in to something to eat and drink was extremely welcome. And finally a massive thank you to my team (in running order!) @Davie Chase @Mark B @Gary F @Benjamin...despite being the junior member you made me feel very welcome and supported, and it was great that we all had something to contribute. Still can't quite believe that we won...we drove the strategy - no more, no less...cracking work from all, and especially to Davie for setting a formidable pace at all times!1 point
