By now, I’m sure everyone’s completed a quick vehicle check, including: General inspection for any hidden mechanical issues Spare tire (condition and pressure) Essential recovery gear, jack, and tools I plan to leave for the meeting point on Friday night, depending on how soon I can wrap up work. Nice driving everyone! It was a nice cool night this evening 😌 We had a quick briefing at 20:00 and started moving on a zig zag path through the dunes. We slowly built up some pace as we ventured into the larger dunes. I managed to guide.us directly into a super soft sand pocket (on purpose of course!) so that @ChrisW could get some extra winching practice 😅 As we moved towards our moon watching location I managed to get a flat tyre, and @Jose Luis Campos had an issue with his hand brake and a rouge battery. Masterfully recovered Jose 👏 At the moon spot I tried to get my telescope to work but was thwarted by technical issues... Luckily @Herman G had brought along his scope too to get some close up 50x zoom glimpses of the Frost Moon. @Ash S. Congrats on doing your first FB drive in the dark. Well managed throughout 👏 @Suneedh Wrangler my first time driving with you, hope you and your son enjoyed out visit to Fayah. It was your first FB drive as well👏 well done!! Last night was great, thank you @Luke K P for leading - and I really enjoyed driving with all of you. Some good paced driving with a couple of patches of sand to test our skills, and a nice social break off the end.

DRIVE DESCRIPTION Join us for a thrilling off-road expedition through the stunning terrain of Bu Tais, Abu Dhabi! This exploration drive will take you deep into the desert’s sculpted bowls and sweeping ridges, with a scenic pause at the iconic Seven Palms of Bu Tais — a legendary landmark and perfect spot to catch your breath and snap a few photos. We will start by taking a dirt road for about 15km south, then heading eastwards linking as many sections of bowls as we can, before making the trip back to civilization via sabkha tracks. 🚙 Important Note: This is a remote drive with no nearby petrol stations. Hi @Emanuel Waiting to hear if I'll get the car back in time as we speak. Needed a new drive shaft amongst a couple of other things to the tune of around £2000 😭 Will update as soon as I know.
