Sadly I will be unable to attend as I will be out of the country. I only met Guarav a few times, but what a guy. I bought an uplifted Jeep when I first arrived because I ‘fancied trying off roading’. To say I was clueless is an understatement. Guarav (recognising my complete lack of knowledge): ‘So that’s your compressor to inflate your tyres’ Me: ‘Right. So in case I get a flat. Got it’ Guarav: ‘No. Because we let air out when we off-road as it gives more traction’ Me: ‘What? 😳’ Such a patient and knowledgeable man. Didn’t laugh, mock, or say anything to discourage me. Talked me through the basics and here we are, top driver in Carnity! (I’m so kidding!) What he taught me in that initial, and subsequent drives I hold dear. I often find myself thinking ‘What did Guarav say again’. Solid foundations for the sport delivered perfectly. Whilst not there physically, I shall be thinking of everyone and ‘Big G’ on Sunday. Stay safe everyone and I look forward to the next adventure.6 points

I am honored to announce we have promoted @M.Seidam to Crew rank within Carnity Offroad Club! Mohammed Seidam joined us about 6 years ago and brought with him an infectious amount of energy and positivity. He quickly moved up in the ranks with his trusty white Xterra, and soon he was leading drives in all different terrains of the UAE. Lately his evening and night drives have been real benchmarks of what Carnity Community Spirit is all about. He is one of our best mentors and is looking over us like a father to a son, and anyone who joins his drives will be in the best possible hands. It goes without saying that we are extremely thankful and proud for his efforts and time given back to our community, and the time has come for Mohammed Seidam to help us to strategize the future of Carnity and to keep innovating. Thank you Seidam! A trailblazer and explorer pur sang, Ale joined us about eight seven years ago and immediately raised the bar for many of us leads. His innovative drive concepts, themes, and ideas have transformed the way we plan and execute drives immensely. His mentorship ability and the way he moves his FJ through the dunes effortlessly (it was hard to find a photo in the gallery 😁) is simply remarkable. It goes without saying that we are extremely thankful and proud for his efforts and time given back to our community, and the time has come for Ale to help us to strategize the future of Carnity and to keep innovating. Thank you Ale! On to another 300+ drives! Dear Carnity Community. The news of my promotion has arrived while I have been busy with moving to a new location, so I couldn't reply sooner. I have moved just 200 meters from my previous house, and I can't imagine how crazy it might have been having to go any further than this 😁. First and foremost, my thoughts go to @Gaurav, who had guided and mentored me from my very first encounter with Carnity, always being a model of kindness, patience, leadership and support throughout every interaction we ever had. He will be missed always, and each of us will carry the memory of him close to our heart. I am very grateful to @Frederic and @Srikumar for the promotion. I wasn't expecting it and am greatly honored by it. I first met a much smaller group of Carnity in 2018 as they were exiting a drive at December 2nd Cafeteria, and I was entering a UAE desert for the first time, with my new used stock FJ, and they kindly help me deflate. Sometime later I started joining them in their Qudra's drives. I recall that today's structure was just starting to be defined, and that my Fewbie promotion came as a big surprise, without having asked for it, but as the result of a common decision of the "older guys". I was hooked to Carnity's community of drivers during Covid, when it was the first, and for a long time, the only club to resume off-roading. I am sure that the leadership on this difficult but conscious decision came most of all from Gaurav. From that time, I have driven almost every weekend (and several weekdays), with a desire to always explore and find new places or things to do, which, again, Carnity allowed me to do almost freely (within the Club's guidelines). So here we are: I'd like to send my most heartfelt congratulations to my fellow new Crew members, @Asif Hussain and @M.Seidam. Couldn't deserve it more, having shown both the highest amount of leadership, and a curiosity for exploration that I surely share with them. And, truly, a huge thanks to every single Carnity member with whom I have driven before becoming a "leader", and who since joined any one of my drives. Without each of you I would not have been able to reach this goal. We share many memories and experiences that will always be valuable and precious. The desert is the only space on hearth (possibly with the oceans) that brings selflessness, brotherhood and respect to the forefront. Let's keep experiencing it toghether! See you all soon out there.2 points

I am honored to announce we have promoted @Asif Hussain to Crew rank within Carnity Offroad Club! Asif has been amongst us from the start and a mentor to many offroaders. He has never been afraid to organize drives in remote terrains, but his meticulous planning always brought everyone back home safely. His technical skills, ability to keep a cool head in every situation, and his warm approach to mentoring others have never gone unnoticed. As a Crew member, Asif can now help us to develop the club further, carrying the club ethos of creating a family of likeminded adventurers, where we not just drive together, but we socialize, create friendships and bond, and become your second family in the UAE.
