  1. Gaurav bhai, missing you bro. Not able to express this void, this sudden departure. What a legacy you leave behind bro! An educator, a mentor. No words to express. Will always miss you.
  2. @Emanuel bro, I had already removed myself from the list on Tuesday as had a sudden travel planned up. Apologies for not being able to join you dear. Hope you all have a wonderful time out, the weather was exceptional today morning and praying it stays like this only without rains and you all have a fun ride.
  3. @M.Seidam Fantastic enthusiasm. Before 7:01pm got a waitlisted entry. 😆 Looks like a blue chip public offering was launched. Listing full on open. 😁
  4. @Emanuel bro. Thanks a lot for accepting. But, I tender my apologies. I just wanted to join and waited till last moment but morning I see I’m having difficulty again. 🙏🏻
  5. Yes yes. I too agree on both of your judgements and was infact apprehensive asking this in the first place too but still managed to ask it nevertheless. 😂 later on will approach back once the required drives are done and feedback from other leads received. That’s the right way too keeping in mind safety and surety of levels. thanks @Gaurav@Frederic. I appreciate this decision.
  6. 😀 all right, my dear well noted and will do accordingly
  7. @Gaurav Greetings, Could you advice if I am in line for promotion to IM. Would other club drives be considered in arriving at that decision. If that is under consideration, then I would have accumulated another 150+ hours (40-50 drives) in other unorganized clubs since the last year itself. As far as the vehicle setup, it has 2nd stage dobinsons, aftermarket UCA and sway link rods. Always carrying Trolley Jack, power wrenches and off course, the whole arsenal of our offroad recoveries including some overkill types as Recovery Boards, tea and coffee preparation stuff 😆 etc all bolted to the body, no tie down ropes etc. HIgh powered inflator compressors bolted and wired inside the Pajero for quick access etc. Basically all stuff needed is there. Waiting to hear from you.
  8. Agree completely with @Andrew John Melvill The 3.8 has larger brake calipers for which 16" rims will not fit. The lowest that you can go is a 17" Rim. That said just the drop from 18 to 17 will make quite a difference in power. As for tyres, my personal preference was Geolanders for Pajero. If you aftermarket rim has a slight negative offset, you are fully set. Avoid spacers and go for negative offset wheel. Also note that some brand models (KMC for me) have zero mentioned offset but still fit with a slight negative offset which is great. Just before buying fit one on and have a look first. Downside will be if you dont have a lift it may scrape the edge of the wheel well on articulation.
  9. @Ishak's train left the platform on time with fantastic weather at daybreak. Flowing thru the dunes the train engine and therefore all the "bogies" moved with a nice flow. 😀 @Frans M nice first lead keeping the convoy safe. @Glenn W Assuring presence at the sweep. A few short refusals, nothing that @J-P L and a shovel cannot fix. Thanks bro. By now we have learnt it's better to give out early rather than push through a bad line or position, and that difference was exemplified when @Mei Ling held out momentarily on a ridge and @J-P L was quick to move out to the left to not be stranded while I tried to push through right instead causing a classic crest. @vinayak n blue FJ's anchored assist shows @Carnity's safety first attitude. Good work there. @Abhishek Chikara@Sherry Jacob@Mei Ling@Nicolò and @Faraz94 Superb rock solid runs guys. Attaching some pics of today. See you soon again when the train moves again. @Carnity@Gaurav, what a splendid lead @Ishak has been. Great mentorship given.
  10. Our desert drive at Badayer was an absolute treat, thanks to @Ishak fantastic leadership. Even though the climate was still on the hotter side we know cooler weather is just around the corner. @Carnity legacy is surely being in good hands. @Gaurav @Frederic @Gaurav Soni@Looper your mentorship has been visibly amazing in @Ishak selecting smooth and well thought out lines across the dunes. @Mike M.@Aser@Alexanderrrdid excellent watching over the convoy, ensuring everything ran seamlessly. The convoy itself performed brilliantly. There were no stucks at all, which speaks volumes about the coordination, communication, and driving standards of the group. Altogether, it was a smooth, enjoyable, and memorable morning in the desert. Looking ahead to a great season ahead.
  11. Twice I joined and twice I removed myself. Was so eager to join, but there were some health issues holding me back. I'm sure you all had a lot of fun and learning with @GauravSoni, these are the drives to level up your skills. Will look forward to the next drive.
  12. Hi everyone, even though I didn't join. The detailed instructions and tips are so valuable as set out by @Ale Vallecchi that I am having a serious FOMO on missing this. These are the kind of drives that infuse knowledge and experience. Appreciate for sharing insights like this Ale. @Mark B that taping down advice is invaluable, specially now that the counter weights adhesive quality being used keep diminishing somehow compared to earlier years I feel having lost then on a couple of occasions over the years. See you all soon.
  13. My sincerest apologies. I’ll be removing from waiting as missus had a surprise getaway planned for valentines. Id dare not challenge that. Enjoy guys. Will be missing this for sure.
  14. Wow! @Ale Vallecchi its a big full house trip within no time, and maxed on waitlist too. Amazing participation spirits guys.
