Hello everyone, Hope you all had a good week and are looking forward to getting away for part of the weekend with us. We have a full convoy and a wait list for Sunday's morning drive. If your plans have changed please remove yourself from the RSVP. I'll be reviewing the RSVP tomorrow and will likely add the current wait list. So if you are on the wait list now and your plans haven't changed, plan to join us for this drive. We have some amazing talent signed up to help manage the convoy so a little longer convoy will still be fun.3 points

Goeiemorgen Jerome! Thanks for the great introduction. Tomorrow's drive might be very easy for you but it's a good way to understand how we drive and get a community feel. We offer a fast-track to Fewbie level. If you complete this weekend's drive with good feedback from our team, you can head over to Support - Carnity.com and fill in the requested details. After the internal feedback you can be promoted to Fewbie level. See you coming weekend!3 points

Hi all, my name is Jerome, 48 y.o., originally from the Netherlands, been living in Dubai for 2 years. Newbie to Carnity, but I have done about 60-70 desert drives with other groups. Started in an LR4, followed by a manual Jeep Wrangler JKU upgraded to a 2021 Wrangler 392 and recently purchased a new Ford F150 Raptor R. Looking forward to driving with Carnity and progressing from participant to support2 points

DRIVE DESCRIPTION This drive will take us into the long range dunes of Fayah, just north of the sabkha, where the terrain opens up into fast, flowing ridges and beautifully linked dune systems. The focus for this session will be ridge riding, controlled momentum, and linking criss-crosses while staying high on the dunes. Expect long sweeping climbs, technical transitions from slipface to hardpack and back, with plenty of opportunities to read the sand, choose your line, and keep the convoy moving smoothly across the crests. This is an IM level drive, so drivers should be confident with ridge riding, side-sloping, criss-crossing, and maintaining momentum through longer dune chains. The aim is not just to cross the terrain, but to ride it properly — ultimate goal is to flatten the ridges of every single one of Fayah’s long range dunes. We will avoid unnecessary technical traps where possible, but the pace and terrain will require focus, quick decision-making, and good convoy discipline. Expect a proper dune bashing session with great flow, big views, and plenty of ridge action. Dont forget your 360 camera! Hi Mark, My car is at the service and they'll return it to me this afternoon, so at this moment I'm in for tomorrow's drive. However, they haven't contacted to me yet and they are not answering the phone. I'll let you know as soon as possible if they'll give my car on time.1 point

Big thanks @Luke K P for organizing this amazing trip and to the whole support team for making the drive such a great experience. From professional tire changes to coffee under the stars, the teamwork and atmosphere were truly exceptional. Definitely one of those desert nights to remember. Looking forward to the next one!1 point

The Fayah coffee club night drive turned into one of those memorable desert evenings where the events between the dunes ended up being just as good as the driving itself. The convoy settled into the night beautifully, with headlights stretching across the dunes and the cool evening air making for perfect driving conditions. The pace was relaxed and flowing, matching the social spirit of the drive, as we carved our way through the quieter technical sections around Fayah under the night sky. Not too far into the route, I managed to earn the honour of the evening’s first stuck — impressively achieved on completely flat ground. 😎 A bit of 4L and some persistant blip blip of the gas got me free. A little later, @Aser reported a slow deflation. After stopping to investigate properly under the lights, we discovered the cause was a puncture, meaning a full wheel change was needed right there in the desert. The convoy gathered around, recovery lights came out, and the usual teamwork kicked in as the tyre swap was handled smoothly. Not long after getting moving again, @Jose Luis Campos experienced a popout. Initially it looked like a simple reseat job, but after a closer inspection, the issue turned out to be a broken tyre stem valve, forcing yet another wheel change for the evening. By this point, the drive had officially evolved into a mechanical masterclass disguised as a coffee run. How and where to place jacks, how to use and set a torque wrench, discussions on multiple lugs sizes... thanks @Ash S. and @ChrisW for all the tools With the convoy already stopped and no more spare wheels, we decided it was the perfect moment to pause for coffee. What followed was easily one of the best parts of the night — a relaxed desert gathering under the stars, warm drinks, chocolates being shared around, and plenty of laughs while surrounded by silence of the desert. After the repairs, coffee, and good conversation, we wrapped up the evening with a calm cruise toward the exit, ending a fantastic night filled with teamwork, good humour, and the kind of moments that make desert drives memorable long after the tracks disappear from the sand. Was a nice way to break up the week, and look forward to see you all on the next night coffee run! Cheers! @Jose Luis Campos @Jerzi @Riyad @_Piotr_ @ChrisW @Ash S. @Zsolt @Aser ps! dont forget to upload any pics to the gallery! https://carnity.com/gallery/category/2570-wednesday-night-fewbie-desert-drive-coffee-club-al-fayah-abu-dhabi-06-may-2026/1 point
