POST DRIVE REPORT A big thank you to everyone for being on time despite the construction delays on E311 northbound before the E66 exit, which affected some members of the convoy. As planned, we set off shortly after the briefing, which was co-hosted by our newest Advisor and Lead-in-Training, @Frans M. Thank you, Frans, for the fantastic support as Centre Forward, helping manage one stuck and a few refusals throughout the drive. A special thanks as well to @JC_E for taking the Second Lead position and for assisting with the recovery of the Toyota Prado. Your support was greatly appreciated, as was the excellent spacing you maintained behind the lead vehicle, which allowed flexibility when making route adjustments. Thank you to @Mei Ling for the excellent radio communication from the back of the convoy, keeping everyone informed and connected throughout the drive. As planned, we entered the beautiful Lisaili area and headed towards the patch of longitudinal dunes. It took us some time to reach the area as several very new drivers were still getting accustomed to driving on sand and learning the characteristics of their vehicles. However, it was encouraging to see noticeable improvements in both confidence and vehicle control as the drive progressed and we gradually introduced some slightly more challenging terrain. After a well-deserved break, we made our way back towards the exit point while continuing to enjoy the scenery that makes this part of the Dubai desert so special. A special congratulations to our newest club member, @Stephan Guglieri, on successfully completing his first drive with Carnity. Well done also to @Pierre-andre Nutteand @Nagarjun S. There were a few learning opportunities along the way, but all of you showed good progress and a positive attitude throughout the morning. I'm glad to hear that everyone enjoyed the stunning landscapes and unique character of this beautiful section of the Dubai desert. Our track together is below. A distance of 27 kms covered is good for a Newbie drive and we had some good elevation profiles, meaning we had some good NB level hill climbs and descents to practice with. Enjoy the rest of your weekend, and I look forward to seeing you all on the sand again soon!

Dear Team. Not much of a briefing is needed for tomorrow's Support Team/Advisors' drive. This will be the meeting and deflation point: https://maps.app.goo.gl/mJyZJRkjz1AjwfoX6 The drive should finish at sunset, just outside Sweihan. The idea is to either linger for a relaxing gathering, tea or coffee just before the exit track, or to reinflate and go to a local cafè for a chat. All are welcome, but of course everyone is free to head home after the drive. The convoy's line up will be spontaneous, and will be decided just before starting the drive. Nonetheless, I have thought of assigning 3 positions, based on rank and highest number of drives completed, which will be the following: @JeromeFJ, @Vanessa8580 / @Frederic and @J-P L who will choose to take either Second Lead, Center and Sweep, as they'll see fit (including the possibility of rotating in these positions). Looking forward to seeing @Emanuel, @Sam Selim, @Ishak, @ChrisW, @Giacomo, @Imran Asghar, @Mahesh_, @Jose Luis Campos, @Frans M, and hopefully @DP1011, @Andrei S and @Diego.

Hey guys, thanks for coming out this morning! We all arrived in good time to then try and wait for the fog to burn off. Giving it until around 07.30, we decided to go take a look with probably around 50 metres of visibility. The first stretch of sand we tackled as more of an overlanding drive, initially covering some fairly flat terrain and discovering larger and more defined dunes as we moved east. I think in clear weather there’s potential for some good ridges here, albeit there was a good amount of vegetation off the crests. We then hit a farm track and stopped for a while to see if the weather would clear. It didn’t especially, so we moved off again - heading west to backtrack before re-entering the sand to work our way north-east. This area was far trickier, with many fenced off areas. Just as the fog lifted a bit we did find a limited area with some bigger dunes and had a play. It was good to at least rev the engines a bit before finishing. We then headed out via the tracks and inflated by the camel racetrack. All in all it was useful to explore the area, and I was able to map a few fence lines and entry points for us. You all drove very well, and I was pleased to see everyone driving safely and considerately given the conditions. Thank you! Drive Report First of all, thank you everyone for coming on time, actually, most of you were there even earlier! 👏 This allowed us to finish the briefing and start moving at exactly 7:30 PM. Our first mission was to head towards 2nd Dec Cafe to fetch @khlief. On the way, we climbed Little Red and had a little disagreement with the GPS 😅. Somehow we drifted to the west side of Pink Rock and ended up having to find our way through the bushes to get ourselves back on track. Once we picked up @khlief, we were back on the sand and headed towards Nazwa Rock, crossing Camel Hill along the way. Then, just one dune before reaching Nazwa Rock, our next adventure began. 😅 I wasn’t sure what was waiting for us on the left side of the dune, so I decided to make a loop to the right. Unfortunately, I ended up bumping my right footstep against a big rock, went through some bushes, and landed nicely in a small pocket where I couldn’t move either forward or backward. 😂 So, we parked the whole convoy and started the winching process. Thanks everyone for your patience and help during the recovery. 🙏 But from that situation came a pretty good idea: instead of driving the final dune, why not bring the chairs, coffee and snacks and simply walk up? sitting on top of the dune, enjoying the night, coffee, snacks and good vibes with good company. Sometimes you don’t need to keep driving to enjoy the desert. 🌙☕🏜️ At 10:25 PM, we packed up and started heading back towards the Big Red meeting point using the buggy track. We reached the exit at around 11:00 PM, extending the drive by roughly 30 minutes because of the recovery. I really enjoyed this drive, especially having the chance to meet you all again and drive together at night. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. Thanks to @Thomas54675 our Second Lead, for the quick responses and reroutes whenever needed. Thanks @Infaz for taking care of the sweep position and helping during the refusals. Thanks @Enrico - Mountain for stepping in a couple of times to assist @Rasna with the refusals. so the convoy order was as per the plan. @Rasna keep joining more Fewbie drives and continue practicing your criss-crossing and switching. The more you do it, the more natural it will become. 👍 @Lazy Frog your refusals were mostly related to momentum. Join more Fewbie drives, learn more about how your car behaves on the sand, and soon we might have to rename you Crazy Frog. 🐸😂 @khlief and @Mei Ling welcome back after a couple of months! It was really nice having you both back in the convoy. @khurramm please fix that fuse holder. In a worst-case situation, the concern isn’t only high coolant temperature; a poor electrical connection can also overheat, spark, and potentially become a fire hazard.
