  1. @Melenany do you have any Saudi-based off-road club recommendations?

  3. @Ahmed Farghaly system added you by mistake when Mohit left, I have removed you from the RSVP as this is a Fewbie Plus drive, hence I can't accept Fewbies.
  4. @Julien Recan and @Faraz94 you have been moved to RSVP please confirm if you still like to join. @Ahmed Farghaly this is Fewbie Plus drive, hence i cant accept your WL showing Fewbie rank.
  5. Alternatively, Pajero 4x4 system isn't rocket science tbh. Paying 2400 labor is still obscene. Though you have this diagnosis now, why dont you google a few Pajero or Mitsubishi Garages and ask them to quote you if you bring all these OEM parts from habtoor? You can easily filter garages based on reviews and ratings these days. My generous bet would be close to 500 dhs on the outside garage for the labor.
  6. Please go through the Carnity Grading structure, to keep you and your vehicle safe: https://carnity.com/forums/topic/16479-off-road-club-grading-structure-v30/
  7. I recently encountered, a super decorated "Pajero only specialist" who couldn't run the diagnostic and charged me for a useless report showing - "Not equipped" in all areas. And to end the debate he claimed, changed the Transmission as that's the only way to resolve the issue. Central diff lock blinking light also appears if low on fluid, when it can't engage fully. Have you checked the differential fluid? As a first step, better to replace if in doubt as it's a healthy and low-cost fix to refresh the fluid. Could you check all connectors that come on top of the transmission housing? Do you know if the guy checked with the computer diagnostic tool to show the relevant fault code to suggest changing the whole transfer case?

  14. Yes, 250k is a bit higher if you plan to use this car for off-road but if the car is very well maintained, then it should be fine too. It all depends on the car's current condition as Xterra is amazing for off-road, so you can't go wrong with that choice. If this one isn't perfect, don't push too hard as in the next 3-4 months you will get many sweet deals as all off-road toys drop value during summer months. Look for noticeable bend or marking on bash plate, that itself can reveal lot of history. If it's spotless, then surely it isn't driven much or too hard while off-road. Look for sand under the carpet area (driver seat, boot), buttons, knobs, shifter lever, engine bay inside fuse box etc. If sand is present on these difficult to reach area, then it has spent lot of time in sand vs few drives as advertised.
  15. Do you really want to spend that money on 07 Pathfinder? Reason, I am asking that is because I haven't seen single of those models lasting more than 1 or 2 seasons in offroad. Simply because the approach and departure angle aren't the best, even after you trim the bumper or lift. Maybe I am wrong here, but if you have tested the car off-road extensively and yes it is proven to be the love of your life to be a worthy desert toy, then only it's worth spending on diff-lock. Secondly, rear diff-lock is good to have off-road recovery tool, but it's not a deal breaker as you will always have someone to help with a quick pull-out when you are off-roading. If you are into, solo adventure, then it's totally worth-it.
