  1. I haven't understood your question clearly, what exact advise you are looking for.....! 17 inch itself is borderline acceptable for offroading if you bump to 18 or 19 with a low profile or medium profile tire its a COMPLETE NO for offroading. I really doubt you can add normal profile tire on 18 or 19 without lifting 2-3 inch or else it will result in rubbing the wheel arch on turning.
  2. Go to Deira Naif market opp Hyatt Regency and you can buy this on any big accessories shops like Al Doha, Al Ghazal, Golden Wheel, Golden Seat, City Star etc. Send a guy with physical sample than an image and its easy to source.
  3. Audi A5 is a beautiful car and I second with Fred on everything he said. Check the oil consumption as that can tell a lot about turbo and engine health. It's slightly expensive to maintain (not overly) but good looking and fun car to drive. If the car is well maintained and regularly looked after then it's nice.

  5. Congratulations @O.Farahat for reaching the fewbie level with Carnity Offroad club. Based on your last (first) newbie drive you have demonstrated skills required deserving this new offroad rank. Looking forward to seeing you growing further and helping others to learn the art of offroading in a safe environment. 6. Problem is Old Pathfinder was not vrooming at all, she was zzzzzing on top of a nice dune.
  7. Are you really serious on this....? Next it must be costing 100 or 125 that means they have rebranded crony to Motorola.
  8. I'm not sure, but I think Glanz is the fastest points earner to gain 98 points in 16 hours with just 1 topic. Of course, he picked the most debatable topic, lololololol
  9. OK let me break it down slowly: Guest can browse, but with the popups. All members have to upgrade themselves to Active Membership by spending 100 points, Expert for 500 points and Legend for 1000 points. This upgrade is mandatory now and that's why pop-ups were forcing you. Once you upgrade to active membership no pop-ups will be shown. All members have been credited 100 points in their account and whenever next they log in, they have to upgrade to Active member to participate in the forum for asking a question, joining offroad drive, posting images, sharing experiences etc. So for using Carnity, everyone has to participate and contribute in some or the way to earn points to renew their membership. All upgrades are for 1 full month, means if you have upgraded today (11 Apr 2019) then your active membership will expire on 10 May 2019. This membership upgrade cannot be renewed automatically because: You might take holidays and use your points to upgrade when you are available in the country. You might save your points for future for discussing serious car issues or upgrades. You might upgrade to another level, based on different benefits offered.
  10. Brilliant and very detailed write up on explaining the basics of "Engine Air Filter" One of the most important factors you touched is the shape to consider that often time get neglected between the brand and price battle. I'm sure this will help a lot new car and offroad enthusiast's here.
  11. Edit option has now moved as a feature for different levels.
  12. Brilliant post @Emmanuel, thanks for sharing this. I'm so tempted to go to Shuweihat Island now after seeing all these images and video.
  13. Every car has a specific tire pressure mentioned on the driver door sill and in the owners manual, check both and follow that. If in doubt, stick to 30-32 PSI and you should be good.
  14. Hahahaha, good salesmen. I'm using Motorola MT777 from 5 years and after 4 years its battery started to die and I bought another one. Maybe make a new post here of buying a bulk radio and get few newbies so that one of you can go to DM and buy it off for everyone, just a thought. @Emmanuel can share a shop from where he bought bulk for 150 per piece. For tomo drive you can use the spare radio, we have for newbies.
  15. Yes because simply being a member and not participating is as good as a guest account. Congratulations on becoming an active member again
  16. You will love Geolander A LOT as I'm using them for 6 years for off-roading and they never failed to impress.
  17. It's only brightness is the main difference and that itself MATTERS a lot I got a dinky light for below bumper (maybe 3D or 4D) without knowing this and didn't felt any big difference. Then I got the 6D for the top and that made a huge difference that I can see 100-200 meters clearly
  18. Ask the same guy, he must be having it. We have been buying from Dragon Mart for 150 for the bulk price and 180-200 for a single piece.
  19. No, you don't need that paired model that will only talk to each other device, but you need a configurable model that you can configure to a common frequency and communicate with the whole convoy. Motorola MT777 is the best Crony CN888, Baofeng, Kangda also very nice as far as you can configure them to use UHF. Read more below When buying a two way radio make sure you buy the UHF and not the VHF version.
  20. And once guest signs up all popup stops! As per new Carnity Point System, it is clear that Carnity prefer 1 active member over thousands of inactive members.
  21. And 6D being the best in brightness, go with that only.
  22. I also had the same feeling but didn't feel like saying after seeing your excitement
  23. Yes, you need to use the flag on the car, while offroading for safety reason all the time. Morning and Afternoon are both independent drives and both are ON.
