  1. Also my GC’s BFG tyres are riddled with cracks which don’t seem to be getting worse with driving on sand even though I want to so I could claim insurance on them 😇. in my opinion desert drives will stress your side walls, which will give away eventually... so that’s an area of concern.
  2. Hi @Alex Sidorovi have seen several small cracks distributed all round on my sedan’s run flats contact surface at around 50k... but I could run them upto 70k at which point I saw a continuous circumferential crack. That’s when I decided it’s not safe anymore... and there is a high chance of Tyre rupture. What you see i believe is just age and environmental effects becoming obvious and not just something that developed from a couple drives on sand. if you see side wall cracks or any other cracks long enough that you feel it is a risk to Tyre integrity then you could consider change... how old are your Tyres anyway?
  3. Hi @Brette, something came up and I had to pull out of the drive... unfortunately won’t be able to make it ☹️
  4. Hi @Jeepie, I have pulled out my rsvp due to personal commitments. Next In line can take my place. thanks!

  8. Hi @Alex Sidorov, I pull them out just before the drive and insert then back before hitting the tarmac. Ignition should be ‘off’ during removal and reinstall.
  9. @Alex Sidorov, pls refer to https://fuse-box.info/jeep/jeep-grand-cherokee-wk2-2011-present-fuses and check the details related to your model year. Mine is 2019 model, the F85 & F86 are for airbags and are 1 assembly(yellow coloured) with an inbuilt arrangement to pull them off. F76 is for ESP and would need a nose plier to pull out. There are more fuses which can disable the ABS and ESP like F6, F26 ... i havent tried them yet though... you can also look at the underside of the fuse box cover for your car specific data. 10. I drive the grand Cherokee trailhawk and even with 10.6” of ground clearance I would still second the changes advised by @Brette to prevent unintended damages. To disable the techs I use the sand mode in selec terrain and pull some fuses in the fuse box - Fuse# F85- airbag, F76- ESP, I have seen @Ashy drive wonderfully on 20” at higher level drives so you could certainly give it a shot! cheers!
  11. I believe @Ashy drives his grand Cherokee on 20s ... maybe he could give his thoughts here ...
  12. @Vanessa8580, @Arman, yes I got a slot with Ale, thanks for the consideration and apologies for not updating this thread.
  13. Congratulations @Chaitanya D!! Well done! Looking forward to many more drives with you!
  14. Congratulations @Brette!! Amazing achievement well done!!
  15. Hi @Jeepie, due to personal reasons I will not be able to make it for this drive. Sincere apologies for last minute drop out.
  16. Hi @sertac, I pull the airbags fuse off before every drive. So safe on that aspect. I have air suspensions, which will help me get about 10.6” of ground clearance and under body protection at the front and middle. Do you see any other concerns? Thanks!
  17. I could think of the following - 1. I think they should have tried to recover from the rear. 2. seems like the radio was missing and the Red car was revving even when the recovery car has stopped. 3. Accelerating too hard causing the car too dig in and making recovery more tougher.
