@Emanuel bro, I had already removed myself from the list on Tuesday as had a sudden travel planned up. Apologies for not being able to join you dear. Hope you all have a wonderful time out, the weather was exceptional today morning and praying it stays like this only without rains and you all have a fun ride.

Yes yes. I too agree on both of your judgements and was infact apprehensive asking this in the first place too but still managed to ask it nevertheless. 😂 later on will approach back once the required drives are done and feedback from other leads received. That’s the right way too keeping in mind safety and surety of levels. thanks @Gaurav@Frederic. I appreciate this decision.

😀 all right, my dear well noted and will do accordingly

@Gaurav Greetings, Could you advice if I am in line for promotion to IM. Would other club drives be considered in arriving at that decision. If that is under consideration, then I would have accumulated another 150+ hours (40-50 drives) in other unorganized clubs since the last year itself. As far as the vehicle setup, it has 2nd stage dobinsons, aftermarket UCA and sway link rods. Always carrying Trolley Jack, power wrenches and off course, the whole arsenal of our offroad recoveries including some overkill types as Recovery Boards, tea and coffee preparation stuff 😆 etc all bolted to the body, no tie down ropes etc. HIgh powered inflator compressors bolted and wired inside the Pajero for quick access etc. Basically all stuff needed is there. Waiting to hear from you.

Agree completely with @Andrew John Melvill The 3.8 has larger brake calipers for which 16" rims will not fit. The lowest that you can go is a 17" Rim. That said just the drop from 18 to 17 will make quite a difference in power. As for tyres, my personal preference was Geolanders for Pajero. If you aftermarket rim has a slight negative offset, you are fully set. Avoid spacers and go for negative offset wheel. Also note that some brand models (KMC for me) have zero mentioned offset but still fit with a slight negative offset which is great. Just before buying fit one on and have a look first. Downside will be if you dont have a lift it may scrape the edge of the wheel well on articulation.

@Ishak's train left the platform on time with fantastic weather at daybreak. Flowing thru the dunes the train engine and therefore all the "bogies" moved with a nice flow. 😀 @Frans M nice first lead keeping the convoy safe. @Glenn W Assuring presence at the sweep. A few short refusals, nothing that @J-P L and a shovel cannot fix. Thanks bro. By now we have learnt it's better to give out early rather than push through a bad line or position, and that difference was exemplified when @Mei Ling held out momentarily on a ridge and @J-P L was quick to move out to the left to not be stranded while I tried to push through right instead causing a classic crest. @vinayak n blue FJ's anchored assist shows @Carnity's safety first attitude. Good work there. @Abhishek Chikara@Sherry Jacob@Mei Ling@Nicolò and @Faraz94 Superb rock solid runs guys. Attaching some pics of today. See you soon again when the train moves again. @Carnity@Gaurav, what a splendid lead @Ishak has been. Great mentorship given.

Our desert drive at Badayer was an absolute treat, thanks to @Ishak fantastic leadership. Even though the climate was still on the hotter side we know cooler weather is just around the corner. @Carnity legacy is surely being in good hands. @Gaurav @Frederic @Gaurav Soni@Looper your mentorship has been visibly amazing in @Ishak selecting smooth and well thought out lines across the dunes. @Mike M.@Aser@Alexanderrrdid excellent watching over the convoy, ensuring everything ran seamlessly. The convoy itself performed brilliantly. There were no stucks at all, which speaks volumes about the coordination, communication, and driving standards of the group. Altogether, it was a smooth, enjoyable, and memorable morning in the desert. Looking ahead to a great season ahead.

Hi everyone, even though I didn't join. The detailed instructions and tips are so valuable as set out by @Ale Vallecchi that I am having a serious FOMO on missing this. These are the kind of drives that infuse knowledge and experience. Appreciate for sharing insights like this Ale. @Mark B that taping down advice is invaluable, specially now that the counter weights adhesive quality being used keep diminishing somehow compared to earlier years I feel having lost then on a couple of occasions over the years. See you all soon.

@Looper excellent reviewing and comparing both drives. The way you have split up and decoded all the data is splendid and commendable indeed giving perspective to a seemly random drive to an untrained eye. Moreover impressive is your fervor for leading us; 2 days in a row. Appreciate your efforts. 💪

Amazing enthusiasm and craziness @Looper bro, two days back to back for you. Supporting your call is a superb response from the extended convoy splitting properly, joining and making both the drives completely full and with waitlist on both. Goes to show a lot on your lead style. The weather is also great to be in the outdoors, hoping for a equally perfect both days. See you guys shortly.

This morning’s desert drive at Lisaily was an mix of adventure, skill, and breathtaking scenery. Lisaily’s dunes never disappoint, and today was no exception. A particular highlight of the drive was going to @DP1011 "DP Hill", which proved quite fascinating and challenging. Its sharp ridges and pockets tested our driving skills, adding a satisfying adrenaline rush to the experience. The drive wasn’t without its interruptions, though. Another convoy repeatedly intersected our path, causing some frustrating delays and breaking the rhythm of our drive. Nevertheless, we managed to navigate through these moments with patience and lots of hold time. Parts of the route were quite bushy, requiring careful maneuvering, but the variation in terrain only added to the thrill of the drive. The scenery, combined with the crisp morning air, made the effort all the more rewarding. A big thanks to @Looper for leading the drive so seamlessly and @Ishak for a wonderful second lead and to @Rob S for his excellent sweep role, ensuring the convoy stayed safe and organized throughout. Despite a few interruptions, the drive was thoroughly enjoyable, showcasing the best of what Lisaily has to offer. Looking forward to many more mornings like this! And yes, Wishing you all A Very Happy and Fulfilled New Year guys. @DP1011, @Looper@Ishak@nithish468@khlief@Shahid Mehmood@J-P L@Waqaɾ@Andrei S@Alphin Aloor, @Frans M, @Gautam Banka, @Mahesh_, @Rob S, @azad, @Amir Amiri

Today’s morning Nizwa / Pink Rock cleanup drive was surely memorable, marking @DP1011's 150th drive celebration, a milestone worthy of applause. 👏 What made it even more special was the decision to combine it with a desert cleanup drive, showing @DP1011 commitment not only to safe offroading but also to preserving our beautiful landscape. The morning started with thick fog, which quickly lifted. Sadly, @Pramod B faced a popout early on, and while he had to make the difficult call to exit because he would soon be have FOMO missing out on DP1011’s coffee and delicious muffins. 😁 @Emanuel thanks for joining us dear, I came after the whole summer and it was good to see you. As we cleared up the desert, the variety of garbage left by careless visitors was surprising and sometimes, amusing in its randomness. It’s unbelievable what people leave behind. I had to leave early to keep a commitment with my kid, but I hope the rest of the team enjoyed a great drive afterward. Huge respect to Carnity Group and its members for organizing such meaningful drives. Here’s to more drives that combine the thrill of offroading with the satisfaction of giving back -
Wishing our @Islam Soliman a heartfelt congratulations on an incredible offroading journey as you prepare for another journey back home. Your leadership and passion have inspired us brother, and the desert won’t be the same without you. I surely remember my couple of drives with you. I won’t be joining this farewell drive but taking this as an opportunity to wish you all the very best. May the Almighty bless this next chapter that you will begin soon. Amen. 🙏🏻

Today's morning desert drive at Faya, spearheaded by @DP1011, was fantastic. With @Amr Aydin as an amazing second lead, our convoy was in expert hands. Despite the morning's cold climate, the warmth of excitement among us was palpable. we navigated through some truly mesmerizing areas. @Rafey Hashmi, with his nimble Jimny, was driving impressively, proving that skill often trumps size. I must extend my gratitude to @PAJERO petelczyc luke for his indispensable role as convoy sweep, ensuring we all stayed safe and accounted for. @Juan R, @Andrei S, and @FERNANDO SYRIO delivered fantastic driving performances, adding to the day's success. However, the drive wasn't without its challenges. We encountered several popouts, and Rafey even lost his registration plate along the way. Despite these setbacks. I sincerely hope Rafey managed to reach home safely and can apply for a new registration plate without any hassle. This fantastic drive was a testament to the unpredictability of desert driving. @DP1011 its enjoyable being in your convoy. Superb lead. 👍🏻

This afternoon's desert drive at Qudra, under @M.Seidam lead, was an unparalleled adventure that I was lucky to be a part of. With just three of us, it felt like a personalized journey through the vastness of the desert. Seidam, with his expert navigation, took us through some breathtaking areas, showcasing the desert's beauty. The climate was fantastically cool, making the drive even more enjoyable. Behind Seidam, I was nestled safely in the middle, with @Sunil Mathew's rock-solid driving bringing up the rear, ensuring a sense of security amidst the challenging terrain. The experience was elevated as we drove through the areas of Little Sweihan, where the approaching twilight cast a magical glow over the landscape, transforming it into a scene of beauty. It was undoubtedly one of the most amazing drives I’ve had, a perfect blend of thrill, beauty, and tranquility. @Sunil Mathew, My USB is with Seidam, hopefully I have it recorded in it 😆 and Doc is able to retrieve the files.
