Sit back, relax, and bring your snacks, BBQ, drinks, and share your stories and experiences of the past year with us. Feel free to bring your friends, families and kids with their age-specific toys or games to enjoy brilliant outdoor activities. Please bring your own: Food / Grill / Cooking and serving arrangements. Drinks and Ice (of course). Chairs / Mats / Camping Gear if you want to camp overnight. Action Plan: At 7:30 PM we will have Carnity Seniors to meet and greet you at the meeting point next to the DEWA station. Please engage 4x4 and deactivate traction control before entering the dirt track. At 8 PM SHARP they will leave this meeting point and bring everyone inside the desert. The celebration location is only 5mins driving from the meeting point. Meeting Point: E77 Jebel Ali Lahbab Road, next to the DEWA Pumping Station: https://goo.gl/maps/gNvfP7mYXS72GezQ6 GPX Track for members who want to join later and have experience in driving without guidance: Map Items.gpx 8.47 kB · 1 download Note: this is not the same spot as last year. (construction ongoing in the area) Bring your Walkie Talkie and tune in to Channel 1: 446.006 for communication with Marshals and Carnity senior members. If at any time you are planning to leave, you can approach any of Crew or Marshals verbally or over the radio and we can guide you back to the road. Camping: you are totally free to bring your tent and camping gear, but please inform us in advance if you are planning to stay overnight. Bring sleeping bags/extra blankets as it gets pretty cold at night. Fireworks: We will be expecting to have a decent view on the Global Village, Marina, and Blue Waters Island Fireworks at midnight. No littering: Please leave nothing but footsteps behind in the desert. Keep it clean. Bring plenty of garbage bags. Bring your own BBQ, no direct fire allowed on the sand. Bonfire: We will arrange a big bonfire in a suitable firepit. Please RSVP on below calendar Hi all, @Ahmed Wagdy and I are at the meeting spot but wondering if our maps have misguided us

Ahmed Wagdy
Thanks, a lot @Frederic, it was a pleasant NYE, thanks for planning this, i think the location was good, it is not far, didn't need to deflate, yet we were the only ones there and we could see the fireworks, hopefully it will remain the same next year, in the morning i could see some constructions going arround.

Thanks @Ahmed Wagdy yes they are unfortunately building a kind of road over there (that was the location we used the year before, but had to move a bit further down this time). I hope we can keep finding nice spots for NYE the coming years as it seems it's becoming more and more difficult. On a different note, we went to pick up our bonfire plate yesterday and found our spot to be completely clean and free from litter, which was such a nice thing to see. We passed by Townsquare on the way home and found massive amounts of litter people left behind over there unfortunately. I am glad our club and its members know better than that. 3 1 "Go as far as you can see; once you get there, you'll be able to see further." It was an amazing party guys. Regarding the litter part, It was almost clean when I woke up at around 10 am and whatever remaining litter was there was picked up diligently by @Gaurav Soni and @Tharun Kumar V to leave the place spotless. The area wasn't like a typical desert and had soft and very hard patches mixed around. Good for camping but not for driving Thanks to everyone that made this happen. See you in the sands soon! 2
Davie Chase
@Frederic and @Gaurav firstly thank you for organizing such an amazing NY Eve get together, my first (not my last) with the club, both myself and Tanya had a great evening with fantastic company. The location was perfect, the music excellent and the company second to none. so happy that we left the place spic and span and thanks to @Gaurav Soni and @Tharun Kumar V for the final sweep to ensure it was indeed left as found. It is an absolute honor and privilege to be a part of such a great club. And wow what a great way to bring in 2024 Thanks
