DRIVE DESCRIPTION

Welcome to Carnity off road club Newbie drive, meeting at Al Fayah in the beautiful Abu Dhabi Desert, please ensure your off-road gear is as per your rank and you bring lots of enthusiasm and an abundance of willingness to learn with you. 

MUST READ AND COMPLY

Drive Details

Level:  Newbie and above 

When: Sunday 30 March 2025

Meeting time: 7:00 AM (SHARP - Without any exceptions)

Meeting Point:  https://maps.app.goo.gl/acreM77zLxB2MRu76

Type of Car: Any proper 4x4 with front and back tow hooks and 8-10 inches of ground clearance.

What to bring along: Loads of water & snacks (for yourself), smiles, enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.

Mandatory off-road gears: Newbie and above, Tire deflator, tire pressure gauge, compressor, walkie-talkie radio, off-road flag, shovel, first-aid kit, fire extinguisher, Intermediate and above, Tow Rope and 2 soft Shackles.

Note: Please ensure that all of your off-road gear is securely tied down with ratchet straps in the rear compartment of the vehicle. Bungy type tie downs are not suitable for tying down off-road gear.

Approximate finish time: 11:00 AM

P.S. Only join if you have a compressor to inflate your tires after the drive.
 

LIMITED SPOTS AVAILABLE

  • This drive is limited to 12 cars only. RSVP will close on Friday - 1 PM.
  • If the RSVP is full, you can add your name to the waitlist, once anyone drops, you will be moved to the RSVP list.
  • RSVP will close a day prior to preparing a convoy list.
  • Latecomers will be returned back - Without any exceptions.
  • Members without RSVP will be returned back - Without any exceptions.
  • Please withdraw your RSVP, if you aren't joining, so your spot can be taken by others.
  • Repeated no-show members after RSVP will have their account suspended for a month.

Hello,

My car is Mitsubishi Montero Sport, grey color, 2023.

No previous experience, except for one Carnity Masterclass.

Car has both front and rear eyelets.

I have both programmable radio and safety flag.

Hi @Vanessa8580 my MAF sensor failed this morning while on a drive with Looper. Have made it back to Dubai and am trying to source a new one. Hope i come right! Will let you know if i have to remove myself from tomorrow's drive.

@Vanessa8580 car is at the workshop and unlikely to be ready in time with a temp fix. The MAF failed after only 4000km, so mechanic wants to sort it out with the oem supplier. Still had a fun 53 min of looping this morning before it was cut short. 

Will unfortunately remove myself from the drive. Have a great morning tomorrow!

Great drive this morning @Vanessa8580 , well led, nice sweeping dunes in the middle section, a few stucks and refusals but  nothing that took too long to resolve.

Thanks again @Vanessa8580 and the rest of the team for the great dfive this morning.  Really enjoyed gettingout in the dunes today. Was my first drive with my son Will as co-pilot and he is already asking about the next one! 👍
