Hello @Simon D and Everyone.

My name is Raj and this is my frist drive with Carnity and providing the below details for reference.

  •  Mitsubishi Pajero 3.8 LWB White 2020
  • I don't have much off-road experience except driving on Jebel Jais and Jebel Shams (Oman) on a off-track with 4x4.  I just finished the Masterclass wtih Gaurav and hope this will help me to kickstart my journey with Carnity.
  • Yes I confirm that I have both front and rear tow hooks/eyelets.
  • I will have the programmable radio (may be Crony MT777) and flag before the drive.

Have few questions before the first drive.

1. Is it necessary to have shovel during the newbie drives.

2. Should I carve the edges of the front bumper or should i wait for few more drives.

3. Do I need to install extra fan or extra transmission cooler at this stage considering I got transmission heat symbol during my materclass with Gaurav 2 weeks back.  But as per his advice I started driving in Manual mode and should I test with this mode for the next few drives.

4. I do have HT tyres now and planning to change it to AT tyres but is it mandatory for the first drive or can I wait for few more drives.

Appreciate if the experts clarify the above points and hope to see you all in the sand.

Hi @enigmark78, and welcome to carnity. During the newnbei drives you will not need to have a shovel nor trim the bumpers or do any modifications to your car. At the newbie level we mostly focus the the drivers learn the dynamic of their cars. However the skid plates are recommended on the higher levels.

Just make sure you watch the videos and have your radio and flag, the rest we can further discuss during the drive :)

Hello everyone!

My name is Gaurav, I drive a 2010 FJ cruiser that I’ve had since new, I’m running a Dobinsons MRR suspension with a 2.5 inch lift, I have around 5-6 years of previous off-roading experience with different groups and different areas of the UAE. I have driven once with carnity 2 weeks ago in Nahel where I had the opportunity to take the role of the convoy sweep.

My car is equipped with all the necessary safety equipment listed in the drive description and my radio is set up with all the carnity frequencies and my car has the factory tow hooks and a safety flag.

Looking forward to driving with you all!

Cheers!
