Replacing my electronic steering column

Hi guys,

I have noticed that my electric steering column in my allroad is producing smoke so I think I need to have it changed but can't seem to find any details about it. The dealership says that this motor cannot be changed at all ... but i find that hard to believe since its damaged and its not like I can just throw away my car like a broken toy. Can anyone tell me how I can find this motor and how can I have it changed.

I am willing to change it myself if I have to.

Well you need to find the exact number/code of the part and search for it online. there are plenty of places where the part will show up but having the exact code is necessary. Once you find it online, you can contact the retailers or the sellers and buy it online or find a UAE based one where you can visit the place in person.
