  2. Eek I hate doing cooling system flushes. It's simple but time consuming and customers know it's simple so they expect it to be cheap and argue when it's not but what they don't realize is that it can take you a full day of messing about between doing other jobs, filling it, bleeding it, running it up to temperature, draining it, scalding your wrists in the process and doing it all over again 5-6 times.

  5. @shadow79 it takes time to clean a dirty engine or cooling system/radiator. That is not none of my favorite jobs, reminds me of Groundhog Day!!

  6. the durango is good for 4 to 6k price but its the parts that let it sit in the workshop for days to sometimes weeks and yes the parts are sure to be expensive as they are pretty rear and most scrap guys dont import it as its a sitter..if you have a good relative there in us and he frequents to you then you should be ok

  7. Dealer check is easy, call the dealer and give the VIN number and be nice to ask 2 questions: Does vehicle have full service history? And is this vehicle ever involved in any accident? Remember anything you force or act strong is "Not allowed" sir, so be really nice and seeking help with humble tone. Al tayer is very strange dealer here to not to tell the service history details to it's owner itself (I have been told this on my first service on SZR branch after buying), so you won't get any details just by VIN number anyways, but you will get an answer: if car is "regularly" maintained or not. Then call couple of good insurance and ask for quote with the VIN number, as now since few years insurance is centrally connected so any major accident or totalled history will flash in "most" of the good insurance company. If service agent refuse to offer insurance, then ask them the reason and they will disclose if car was total loss in the past or not.

  8. It was the most amazing and magical drive that I have been waiting for since long time. I spent about 17 years in Dubai and been to almost every nook and corner in the UAE, but never realized that we can cover all the emirates in one day until Waqas imagination gave us this idea. The idea of covering whole country in one day round road trip was just too exciting. And this excitement continue to grow when one after the other carnity member signed up against all the odds of 45-50 degrees heat and driving through the dry and arid land could be strenuous. The occasion of reaching 15,000 members was just too big that no one care about August heat and jumped into this exciting drive to mark their presence. Sincere thanks to Asif Hussain, Abdul Basit Khan, Baiju Jayapalan, Kavin Shah, Manu M S, Ayesha, Rahimdad, Saleem and Vivian. We started from last Emarat Petrol Station on Jebel Ali side toward Abu Dhbai by 10 AM and finished at Dubai Canal by 12 AM by driving almost 700 kms. It took us 14 hours instead of 10-11 hours as planned, but we learned a lot from this first experience and still manage to cover all the emirates in one day. Starting point: Emarat Petrol Station, SZR, Dubai Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, Abu Dhabi Al Jimi Mall, Al Ain Fujairah City Center Iceland Waterpark, Ras Al Khaimah Dreamland Aquapark, Umm Al Quwain Ajman City Center, Ajman Sharjah Paintball Park, Sharjah Dubai Canal Parking, Dubai Lesson Learned: Factor extra time for wrong turns, closed road, detour through unpaved slower roads etc. Optimize the picture taking time, and no need to over-perfect every moment. Restrict lunch break and add few quick tea stops enroute. Start early to experience Al Ain - Fujairah - RAK route in daylight. Reverse route can be tried to put interesting roads and scenic beauty in daylight. We can exclude Al Ain as it's part of Abu Dhabi emirates.
