  3. In my Opinion the Pajero is highly under estimated. I have mine for quite sometime and I have no regrets owning it. Speaking about Offroad capabilities, I was able to drive upto Iftar bowl without a fuss. Have not faced any overheating issues yet. It may not be that quick, but it gets there...

  4. Ok so it’s been a while since I updated this. The project isn’t over yet. The original funder lost his job and ran out of money so the project was shelved. A new funder is on board so the build will start again soon. We have a huge turbo diesel Cummins engine just sitting there on the shelf doing nothing so expect the 351 to get junked and a huge high torque motor capable of rolling coal to be installed. Lets see what happens. I can promise you it will be epic.

  5. There is tons of reviews on the internet about all the cars but you can't make most of them as a reference, I have my car since 2008 and after these years still I'm happy with it, thanks God after this long I never had issues about the engine, leakage or...only routine services, any cars needed, If you compare about price and quality of the pajero, I can say it's best valued 4x4 suv for families, daily use and offroad, off course if you do not care about it even the tank will get damaged, I'm sure if I change my road tires to a/ts offroad capability of 3.8 will beat other cars easily

  6. @Srikumar with you its always been a mixed bag, but with some of your weaknesses comes a lot of strong points. I am mainly pleased with your current contributions both off-road and on the forum. Congratulations and keep being yourself. Well deserved.

With the new group of Fewbie Drivers who have been with Carnity Off Road Club over the past few months, the time is right to up the challenge at Al Faqa Desert. This is the first time Carnity would be visiting this area this season. The area offers a varied terrain from short to long range dunes with plenty of opportunity for side slopping and ridge cutting. Depending on how the convoy feels the route can be altered a bit along the way. As the evening weather is still quite good, those who wish can stay back for a nice relaxing chat in the desert. Level of drive: Fewbie and above When: 22 March 2019 Meeting time: 1:00 PM, convoy will move sharp at 1:15 PM after the Friday prayers Where: EPPCO Gas Station at Lisalli https://goo.gl/maps/mrXA7BMruG42 Plan: Afternoon drive through the Al Faqa Desert What to bring along: Evening snacks - whatever you like with little extra to share, water, liquids, smiles, stories, and enthusiasm. Approximate finish time: 7 PM - 8 PM

  8. It's a 2C7B and not 267B - mistake in hand written code. It's a DME fault 2C7B Lambda probe behind catalytic converter, signal Remove the rear O2's and if they are cover with carbon, clean them up and that can sort this 2C7B code. Worst case scenario replace sensor. For DSC Fault 5E18: Engine management code my 90% doubt is throttle valve actuator. To be honest if gear is failing you will feel lot more than just shutting down on low rpm, like jittery gear shift, lack of power, delay in down/up shift etc. It seems a mechanical glicth to me when have you replaced the spark plug and coil? they could be culprit too before hitting the expensive part, fix or double check the basics Is the engine management light is on? or any other light code is shown on display? Also research more online forums and read about nasty BMW relays that throws many diff faults coz of one relay failure, it could be that issue too. let me know what you ind, im happy to help

  10. I work in a shop that mainly builds custom cars and choppers. Also restore classic cars and do some maintenance and repairs to everyday road cars. I mostly work in the office but sometimes I’m out in the shop advising the mechanics and electricians on diagnosis and repairs. Spent most of my life working on cars and it’s nice to go home with clean hands every day now. Perfect job for me, I get paid for doing my hobby.

  11. @Dhav you probably didn't understand my earlier message clearly, let me break it down in step by step action. I don't doubt or believe Extreme or Munich guys but just saying for additional diagnostic because no two guys are pointing the same problem or even remotely close. However when you talk about an intermittent problem then it's genuinely a nightmare for even the competent workshop to spot the correct issue. And it's an expensive fix of either ECU or gearbox, so I would definitely go with the third opinion and then if any two diagnoses are same then I will pull the trigger. Step 1: Find a competent BMW diagnostic center, better if they are not a workshop and just a professional diagnostic center only, so chances to get the most unbiased report. You can even check with AGMC to scan the problem if it fits in your budget - just a scan. Step 2: Approach them saying your car switching off issue without influencing their mind with extreme or Munich diagnostic report. Let them work independently. Step 3: Note the actual trouble codes stored in the system as per the first scan. Step 4: Ask them to clear the code. Step 5: If the diagnostic tool offer live data, then drive around with the diagnostic tool hooked in until some fault code pops in as soon as your engine stalls. As it's an intermittent problem so this might take a while to show up. Step 6: If the diagnostic tool doesn't offer live data, drive around and try to reproduce the engine stalling and as soon as it happens, go back to them and ask them to scan again and get you the new fault codes stored. Step 7: This fault code will be your actual trouble maker and then we can see if it matches with extreme or munich report to attend the right fix. Try google and find an independent BMW Diagnostic center and get the new codes, preferably printed out of there scanner system rather than handwritten or hand type, which eliminates the room for human error or judgment. Also check if Motrox still offering free diagnostic for Carnity members, as they had that promotion a while back.

  12. Change / clean air filter, you meant. Here's my list: Fill up washer fluid How to check the fuse and replace them Check gear oil in the vehicle having the dipstick Top up battery water, if it's not the maintenance-free battery Clean battery terminal for corrosion or tighten the loose terminal
