Happy New Year and thank you once again @Gaurav bhai to post this once in a year event. Truly sitting with like minded people to move from one year to the next is the best experience of all. Many thanks to @Shamil for getting the fire wood and playing his beautiful guitar to sooth the moment. Loved eveyones company, thanks to all who managed to join.

As situation demands I'll be joining your drive. Already signed up @Srikumar so no reason for you to send me back.

What a fantastic new year celebration and great turn out from amazing folks we had last night. I started little early and saw @sertac reached the meeting before anyone, so we both went to the new year spot to secure it by unloading all our stuff and asking our wives and kiddos to stay there until we get everyone from the meeting point. Except Adil and Roshan everyone showed up on time and we started from the meeting point after a quick brief to drive with inflated tires. Thanks @sertac and @Rahimdad for following the request of bringing the firewood but we wouldn't be able to run whole night bonfire with just two people firewood contribution. So we all decided to send one guy for the most difficult task on NYE to buy a firewood. On 31 Dec daytime itself, all firewood runs out so hoping to get something at night would be a difficult task. Thanks to @Shamil for accepting to take this challenging responsibility and hopping on several places until he found last 3 bags of firewood. Shamil seems like a man who doesn't accept - NO for an answer, well done buddy for saving everyone's new year with warmth and happy moments. Everyone brought the great food and amazing selection of drinks that keep on circulating through out the night and we all thoroughly enjoyed the music and live karaoke session by all of us. Even my 5 y/o sang Christmas songs twice. After the new year start @Shamil playing on guitar was a star attraction as when we all got tired and sat next to the bonfire and Shamil kept playing guitar for beautiful old songs that we all have grown up with. It was a very good walk down to memory lane, to remind us about our school and college beautiful days on the first day of new year. I would like to invite all Intermediates and above to do something different and do a fast pace trip from Maleha to Faya. We will start from the newbie area in Maleha and continue our way to Faya and go back to Fossil Rock. This will allow us to go back to basics and practice in a wide range of dunes. We will explore and alternate between side sloping and basic ridge crossing techniques and enjoy whatever this area has to offer in a fast pace. Depending on the pace and progress we will exit at Faya road or exit at fossil rock. This drive is for Intermediate and above level only. Please check if you have all required tools and gear on board as per your assigned drive level. When: 03 January 2020, Friday Meeting time: 06:45 AM, the convoy will move sharply at 07:00 AM Where: ADNOC Service station GPS Coordinate: https://goo.gl/maps/b3tDGLrAcs1AhxYa9 Level of drive: Intermediate and above Type of Car: Any proper 4x4 with front and back tow hooks and 10 inches of ground clearance. Plan: Drive and enjoy until about 11:30 AM, with some small breaks in between to have breakfast and snacks. What to bring along: Some snacks, plenty of water - whatever you like with little extra to share, smiles, stories, enthusiasm and willingness to learn.

Hi Lucky It's not an issue as he is old enough. However, since you will be driving for the first time in sand you need to be 100% focussed. I will leave the decision to you. If you are bringing him along, ensure that he has a proper child seat.

Regarding the things for tomorrow just ensure that your car has rear and front recovery points. For the rest we shall guide you. Hello Srikumar, I have joined this group just an hour ago, and interested to join tomorrow morning (03/01/2020) I am new to off-rode, i have Nissan Petrol 2013 model. Please let me know how can i contact ( any mobile number to call ) , please provide the exact location details you to join and what to bring along. Hi guys, Been looking forward to joining a newbie drive for a while now. With my husband having a painful neck I'll be taking the wheel tomorrow. I did some basic offroading in Maliha-Fossil rock with my husband and would love to get to know the Carnity Offroad Club Members !

Would be great if there is a drive out to see.
