Drive report: Cool morning… with bunch of cool drivers! After the initial struggle of getting to the starting point for a couple of cars… we had our quick briefing and were rolling at 5.40 am. We did a couple to side sloping and cross cross to get inside the dunes for the amazing view of the rising sun on the desert horizon. here we did a quick recap of the essential for slip face climbing. we then headed in the general direction towards lisaili finding slip faces to get the feel of car climbing on the soft slip faces…we drove for about an hour when we had our first refusal which was quickly sorted by @Kailas… we attempted some high slip face climbs on the ridges and convoy gained confidence as we zoomed pass long range dunes see- sawing on the soft and hard faces… halfway towards the lisaili long range dunes I decided to circle back to the starting point having about 1.5 hours for the drive… at this time, we had a couple of refusals and stuck which was again very well managed by kailas… having a Marshal as support has its own perks! as we progressed on the small technical patch, I got caught in a soft patch and bellied out requiring a couple of tugs from Deepak to get me out! Driver fatigue started to kick in with stucks during cross crosses.. shoveling was the key to get out of the situation until it became too hot in direct sun.. we eventually made our way towards the exit and all were out by 9.30 am. @Jaro Tuzinsky you did well for your first 2nd lead and m sure u got a new perspective of your car! @Sunny84 u did well to chase the two pajero’s and drove well! Refusals are how me learn and progress… @Dinesh Kumar A Getting stuck is part of the game and I believe it’s mostly the fatigue that kicked in.. you drove brilliantly! @Zulfikhar Naiyar as I said during our post drive chat… u need to spend some more time with your X on the dunes to get to know her a little more! 😂 well driven! No radio callouts from @Ignacio Quindós @Tareck @takeshi sobue meant u breezed through the terrain and had fun! thanks @DP1011 , Deepak wrangler for the shovels and tugs.. well done.. thanks @Kailas for joining the drive and handling the situations at the back!! See you soon in sand!!2 points

Drive Details Do you know how Area 53 got its name? Well any off-roader in UAE will tell you - with its Pyramid shaped vertiginous dunes, razor sharp ridges, the mystery that this area offers to Off-roaders is atleast 2 steps ahead of the notorious Area 51..:) This is undoubtedly the area to explore when one needs that extra dose of adrenaline rush. Hello @Sunil Mathew @Senthil Kumar @Tom B @Ashok chaturvedi @Waqas Parvez It was a great pleasure to drive with you all; i was blessed to have highly skilled and experienced drivers like you. It was supposed to be fewbie drive but looking at the response of the whole convoy, i had to raise the level. The first half of the drive around Tawi Nazwa and Pink Rock went very smoothly. However the second half from Pink Rock to Big Red was full of surprises because of the strong wind and the direction. There was lots of soft sand and newly formed pockets that took me aback, i got stock two stuck which we preferred to use the rope to recover because of the blowing sand and heat. The positive part of the wind was that there was almost no cross tracks and felt like we were the only one around until towards the end, we had to be very vigilant to buggies and other dessert safari convoys who were careless. I would like to thank @Waqas Parvez for his outstanding support and recoveries and @Sunil Mathew my second lead who had to do some slight diversions so that the rest of the convoy gets a better track. Thank you @Ashok chaturvedi, @Sunil Mathew, @Waqas Parvez and @Tom B for the kind words, comments and descriptive reports. Have a good week end ahead, take care and hope to see you soon in another drive.1 point

Dear Driends Ahmad Shaker @Ahmad Shaker DP1011 , Deepak wrangler @DP1011 , Deepak wrangler Tom B @Tom B Davie Chase @Davie Chase Rob S @Rob S Chris Wing @Chris Wing Simon Dawood @Simon Dawood Santoso Marjuki @Santoso Marjuki JamesThorn @James Thorn Gregory @Gregory GauravSoni ( manage ) @GauravSoni Good day and welcome . The plan of our coming drive are two folds the first is to start as early as possible not later than 05:30 so bit earlier arrival before 05:15 would be greatly appreciated . this will give us the time to drive bit in the dark till the sunrise. the second is to cover as much of a distance crossing different terrain in a semiconstant speed ranging from moderate to fast to pretty fast in some occasions and minimize the stopping time to the minimum. in ideal spots we may repeat the maneuvers as better as it gets swinging from hard to slip faces and vica versa. ... at the outskirts of Qudra south two routes are available and both will lead us toward little sweihan upon which one we choose is govered by how fast we get there in time . from little sweihan twisties will head tward the exit at the exhibtion center of solar park. cant wait to meet you all till then enjoy the remaining of the week cheers Seidam1 point
