What a splendid morning !! Seeing a new lead at work is always a pleasure, and in the case of Davie, that I had the pleasure of seeing in his early days in the club, to the point where he is now, gives an enormous amount of satisfaction that as a club we are able to create a fertile breeding ground for off-road explorers to go through the ranks and reach the stage where they can lead a drive effortlessly and manage his convoy and the challenges with a smile. As a second lead, which means polishing the tracks a bit of the lead in front, I actually had little work to do, and got to enjoy the beautiful lines Davie took and could take some scenic sights in as well. I love driving in this area as it really gives us a "out of the city" feeling, and throws us back to simpler times. After finding an underpass through the Etihad rail (modern meets old in this area), we made our way towards the Northern Falaj Al Mualla watch tower. After doing some research this morning I came to know there are only 3 in total, and they were used to guard and protect the oasis (water channel, or "Falaj"). As I mentioned in the briefing, I encourage all of you to explore the entire UAE and especially areas like this, as we might take them for granted now but in perhaps 15-20 years from now they might fall victim to the fast-progressing modernization. The Etihad rail crossing through it is one of the first signs. The entire convoy drove superb. I felt the soft sand with my heavy boat and was concerned about the other behind me, but you all pushed your way through the soft sand, tricky spots, and steep declines. @Patrick @Ahmed Wagdy @Misha Puskar @Stan @Frans M @Zubair and @premindra rajaram. Great to see you in the sand again and thank for the help @Mehmet Volga ! @premindra rajaram you might have turned your Xterra into a green ecological version, but nevertheless fantastic job as a sweep ! See you all soon in the sands again !9 points

What an unusual drive experience today with random stuck people ๐. Thank you, @Chaitanya D, for leading us through the technical dunes today ๐, I really enjoyed it. All these random desert adventures are great learnings. Today's rescue reminded me how important it is to have extra water and snacks for unpredictable events. You really never know how long you will be out there ๐. Thanks to all on this drive for a beautiful Sunday morning time ๐งก8 points

Badayer is Badayer. Despite the tracks and churned sand in some areas, still enjoyable. Hope all enjoyed the drive, and was a good start of the weekend. Nice to meet all of you, was great time, spent without issues to mention. Thank you @Gertjanfor being SL, and for the nice photos....amazing. @Rob Sthank you for your support, as usual feeling safe when you join and watch the back of the convoy. @Salim Akhtar @Charbel @Chris Wing @Mohamad Anwer @Alexanderrr @Beide Worku did great keeping the pace, thank you for allowing me to keep pushing, without "yalla push'". Support team @Simon D @Pacific @Imteeaz thank you for joining and helping whenever required. Wish you a nice weekend. Good time8 points

Hey all, It was a really nice route this morning and I enjoyed the pace we were having - just interrupted by some other desert experts . I couldn't say good bye to you because my help was needed in the desert and I headed back for the driving directors cut! So please accept this as my formal good bye and see you next week! I enjoyed the group dynamic very much today and I like to meet familiar faces every week! Thank you for the good teamwork! And special thanks to the our leader @Varun Mehndiratta in his shiny half-door Rubicon! Have a nice weekend!5 points

@Hisham Masaad "Al Badayer King" I agree with @Simon D and wish to share the same feedback, thank you for the great drive with old friends just like old times. ๐. We felt well connected like the old days ๐ Thank you @Beide Worku @Imteeaz @Rob S @Chris Wing for helping me with the popout towards the end of the drive. @Beide Worku beleive me, even though I love your jack and the hightech kit on your vehicle, its not intentional to have pop outs when we are on the same drive! ๐ However, it is always re assuring to have you on the drive, as it takes 10 minutes max with your kit to fix a popout. To the rest of the convoy, great driving gents. @Charbel I hope your car us ok, as it looked a lot more serious when it happened, than the actual minor damage we saw ๐, hope you only need to fix the lights and rats it! Regards, MOHD3 points

This was a fun fast paced drive , only 1 stuck from me, thanks @Krishna Rfor the assist. Despite the intermingle of another convoy and getting lost with @Benjamin this is now my favourite drive. Iโve been rewatching the videos, will post when I get a chance. next time I do that climb near the end Iโll be more careful on the early part of the climb, hadnโt realised my rear end jumped as much as it did. Great dunes, comms and banter from all.2 points

Thanks @Varun Mehndiratta for the drive. it was amazing smooth and allowed us to stress our vehicles engines. I broke my flag in the first 60 min ๐ i even didnt saw it when it fell down. thanks @Mark B for getting it and lending me the suction flag mount which helps to continue the drive safely. @Ishak u did well as a second lead, @Bashar Beasha was driving flawless in the dunes with his supper safari. I believe large engines created for such terrains. Adjusting the convoy order allowed us to move even faster, thx again Varun for ur precise notice and judgments. we learned today many techniques and we were following our marshal with no hesitation at all. @Krishna R was doing great in sweep postion... the closure in Iftar Bowel was brilliant ๐ ๐ long story short, all did amazing and the drive was super enjoyable short video can be found in the bellow link: https://vt.tiktok.com/ZS8TDL4hS/ looking forward to drive with u all again.
