Yeah thank you @Davie Chase for a great drive today although it nearly killed me 😂 my fitness levels were definitely challenged! Couldn’t have done without @Bjoern who’s winch definitely saved the day! And that cold bottle of water from your fridge saved me 😂 was great to see everyone still in good spirits at the end even tho we were waaaaay over time! So thank you to all of you for your patience. I think we all probably learned something today! I know I did 😊😊 you all drove brilliantly today and I look forward to seeing you all again in the sand soon4 points

What an amazing drive it was today. I returned to the sands today after a break of 2 years almost finding to the adrenaline filled dune climbings and ridge crossings. My big fat Armada also debuted today. Honestly I wasnt very sure about its performance and I did struggle today with the car and traction control which gave me few stucks and refusals. But all in all my elephant didnot let me down. Coming to the heroes of the day. I am short of words for your leadership @Davie Chase. You kept your calm and and made sure no man is left behind. The episode where most of the cars were stuck behind the dune, it sounded like a warzone on the radio though we coudn see on the other side. You led the army like a general with your orders and advise. I have a video of you looking like a lone survivor. @Mark B your gladiator did fight like the romans saving a lot of us today. Thanks for pulling me out a couple of time. @nithish468 get your car fixed soon. You cannot miss your Saturday ritual. Thank you everyone for the amazing drive. Would love to drive more under your leadership @Davie Chase @Mark B.4 points

Good afternoon desert wanderers @Emanuel, @Nizar Shawwa, @Yusuf Esaf, @nithish468, @Mark B, @Mahmut, @Marek, @Ishak and @Bjoern Thank you all for being on time this morning it is always a good start to get the briefing done and away sharp. As we soon found out that this time of year the sand can be very soft in places and indeed hard underneath. so we started off with a couple of semi popouts for our second lead @Emanuel AKA the White Rhino, but they were quickly dealt with by our center forward @Mark B. we then had a few stucks in the softer sand and between @Mark B and @Bjoern they were dealt with superbly. we had one that took a bit of time to resolve so we went on a short cut up the pylon track towards our exit of Sweihan. Then we turnt right to enter the last patch of sand before exit and boy did that last 30 minutes of the drive give us some fun, so much so that the 30 minutes extended into two hours :). So thank you all for your patience it was amazing that you were all still smile at the end. You guys drove amazingly well apart from the couple of issues mentioned above, so take Solis from this that it was not easy terrain and that we had a few technical stucks to deal with but that we did only have a few that took time to resolve. well done everyone. My Second lead @Emanuel did amazingly well to keep my lines smooth and to react to all of my instructions quickly and accurately. Thanks Emanuel always good to have you in the S/L position. Our sweep for the day @Bjoern did amazingly well keeping me informed and assisting with several of our sucks with his winching skills and usual calm demeaner, thanks and appreciate you being there today, you will sleep well tonight. And lastly to the busiest man on the drive, a big thankyou to @Mark B in the center forward position keeping the middle of the middle of the convoy synced with the front and back, and whilst doing that dealing with all of the stucks, pop outs and refusals that we encountered. Thanks again for all of your hard work and the professionalism and calmness that you showed as we dealt with all of the issues that we faced. Excellent support and great to see you growing into the support role as well as you have. Once again thank you all for your patience and hope to see you on one of my drives in the very new future.😊😊 Have a great rest of your weekend... @RiadJL unfortunately we were all ready to go at 06:15 so could not wait for you as it would not have been fair to all those that were there on time. hopefully you will get on a FB+ drive very soon, if you sleep and cant make the start time +/- 5 minutes, then it is always best to just post on the forum that you cannot make it rather than drive to the meeting point as we may or may not still be there. hope you get on a drive soonest. have a great rest of your weekend4 points

Dear Desertnauts a very quick briefing before this Sunday PM drive. The mission is clear, as stated in the drive's description: to beat the previous record of cumulative climbing in the Badayer/Area 53 area. That is climbing a total of 2,272 meters, to pass the previous record by at least 1 meter. Therefore, we'll move from star dune to star dune, with the goal of reaching each formation between Badayer's shops and the planned exit at Ericsson Tower in Al Madam, and climb every slope from bottom to top, with multiple side slopes (and some occasional criss-crossing. The convoy at the moment is the following: @Andrew John Melvill in Second Lead @Abhilash Kottakkal at #3 @Cha at Center @RiadJL at #5 @Jon L at #6 and @Mahmoud Taha in Sweep. The meeting point has been posted at Badayer's Shops, past the Quad rentals' area. Looking forward to seeing you on Sunday PM. Enjoy the end of the week.2 points
