@J-P L's car has this Angry Bird vibe, doesn't it?

Well, two cars immediately come to mind, but both no longer with us . . . . the big black Yukon of @Islam Soliman and Big Blue Pajero of @Vanessa8580. Two cars that I followed for many drives and were able to conquer big dunes, small dunes, technical and non technical. Ive been agonising which one of the two to pick, but I guess big blue gets my vote. Many if us learnt to drive in the desert following big blues tracks!

Oh that’s a tough one! So many great cars in the club and so many which haven’t done drives recently. my heroes of the past are @Islam Soliman Yukon and @Yerem Davtyan red Tahoe. So many memories starting the journey with club! thanks @Mark B for voting for me, I really like the gladiator and the flag job you did, it reminds me of a flying hussar. @ChrisW jeep has probably the best ventilation system. my vote goes to @Luke K P orange beast. Agreed - when you run the numbers, most pumps can supply volumes well in excess of what one Schrader valve will admit given the surface area of the value and the pressures the pumps works out. The heating effect then comes up in a few ways: as described above the air line chucks will heat up (most pressure at the tightest constrictions), you will also find the pump will work harder against a higher pressure head due to the constriction. This can be measured indirectly by the number of popped fuses people get when turning the pump on against already pressurised lines! All things being equal, for most dedicated air compressors, a multi-hose setup will be a much better match of flow rates (in terms of time, lessening the work done by the pump, and heat). From memory the twin ARB compressor is a total waste of performance for single hose inflation, and mostly only makes sense once you start filling four tyres at once.

Hi all, thanks for the short for me drive! I tried Mitsubishi in Al Ain but they were out of stock, picked up a new air filter while i was there. Called my mechanic in Dubai and he is trying to source a MAF sensor for me. Now waiting on the news. Hope I can get it fixed and make the drive with Vanessa tomorrow. Hope you all had a fantastic morning!

Very good point @Frans M, I think this goes in line with what someone told me one, that if you inflate one tire at a time, it will be hard to exceed more than 60lpm due to the small stem valve. So having a 4-hose inflation setup for the big compressors is actually a good thing 👍

Thanks everyone for a great morning out! We had a good run, starting from the Tawi Nazwa farms and first making our way north-east towards a nice area. This is where Mei Ling found some soft sand Next we headed out to Pink Rock and climbed it from the South side climb where we took a small break. Then we headed further South towards Big Red where on our way we found nice rolling dunes. A small puncture in @Sam Selim his tire meant we had to put the spare tire on. @Sam Selim fantastic second lead duties ! @Vijaya Kumar Doppa you're improving every drive consistently, keep it up ! @B.K. Very well driven today ! @Mei ling excellent driving today! Try to experiment with tire pressure around 10psi as your tires seem a bit heavy. Make sure to double check with a second pressure gauge to make sure the first one is working correctly. @Aggy22 First Carnity Fewbie and hardly broke a sweat! Thanks @Ale Vallecchi for yet another great drive. The main take away for the newer team members from this drive was not to stop on an incline and I am sure they got it by now. Very nice flows towards the mid and end of the drive but most importantly this drive showed what a team spirit can do in the face of adversity as we had a couple of them. @Emanuel thank you as always for the great support! special shoutout to @Jose Luis Campos who was elbow-deep in supporting Emanuel in the pop out at the end. Just wanted to add alittle observation here on this thread. The overheating of the compresssor outlet hose is caused by high pressure during pumping process. The compressor is basically a pump that creates flow, the pressure comes from the resultant of the restriction e.g: the existing tire pressure, nipple orifice and hose inside diameter. I noticed that when I inflate 4 tires at the same time (with my Vitaly Compressor 2 pistons) with 8mm ID hose, the head pressure during pumping is only around 2 to 5 psi above the system pressure. Maximum 38psi when the system pressure is 35psi. The temperature of the compressor outlet hose was never getting very hot. On the other side when I inflate only 1 tire at a time, the head pressure during pumping can reach 60 psi and the outlet hose was very very hot. So normally I inflate 4 tires at the same time for a quicker turn around time and much less heat on the hose. This cheaper compressor that I used is still good and strong with it's orginal outlet hose for almost 3 years now.

Good morning guys. My car is still acting up — this time cooling issue. I noticed the coolant level was very low when I stopped to refuel, possibly a radiator leak. Filled it up but still low when I stopped for the last refuel. It doesn’t give me the confidence to continue, so I’ll head back to avoid a repeat of the last incident. You guys enjoy.

My vote is the for @Frans M LC71. It’s beautiful, retro styling, tough, rugged and reliable. the 70 series has around in various forms since 1984 (if my thinking is right), still beloved today and sold pretty much as it was back then. Admittedly I’m a bit of a Toyota fan boy (first car, imported 1999 Corolla) who doesn’t really like modern technology. Two things on earth will survive a nuclear holocaust, cockroach’s and the 1GRFE engine 😂. A close second place would be @Frederic Isuzu Trooper. Great green machine.

Thank you, @nithish468! I really enjoyed the winter fit this year! I think for me some honourable mentions must go to @J-P L (love seeing the Jimny’s and it gave me great faith driving alongside someone else with a manual transmission when I had the old JK), and@Mark B and @Zed for their unstoppable tinkering with their cars! My vote however will be going to @Marek…love seeing that beast out on the sand, and if I wasn’t already setup with the JL I’d definitely have designs on chasing a similar setup!

It’s very difficult for me to vote my favorite 4x4 in the club I have a clear soft spot for the older cars especially the way they bring a blast from the past when it comes to retro styles so as a car enthusiast I see myself admiring @Gaurav silver Pajero and @Frederic Isuzu trooper, and that little green machine is a true trooper! When I first started looking into 4x4s I either wanted to go for a jeep or a Jimny (as a family car keep in mind) what an incredible little beast it is! I love what @J-P L did to his little one which I like to refer to as a chihuahua “small but feisty” 😂 and anyone who has driven with me knows that I like a car with its own personality which all the cars above hold some sort of character. Finally as a jeep driver myself I would have to say I’ve caught myself in pure awe sometimes seeing Gladis by @Mark B literally sailing on the top of dunes it reminds me of @Islam Soliman massive beast the modifications and extensive chats with Mark about different modifications still surprise me with whatever new has been added it’s hard to point my finger on my fav modification. Maybe it’s the intensive work to a perfectly balanced suspension, maybe it’s the HUD or the most important mod THE FOOT REST! 😂 so I think my vote lays with Gladis

I know I'm probably not original here, but damn, those 392s… always the chillest until it’s time to climb. Then boom — full drama. V8 roar, sand flying, tires clawing... @Gurcharan Mehta 🫠

so many to choose from! but I’ve always think @Andrei S Grey FJ is a slick looking car! I’m not an FJ fan but it’s turns my head, fantastic colour and just the right amount of mods to be slick but not over the top

I will have a tough time deciding when I am eligible to vote. I used to drive a SWB Pajero, so will have a soft spot for the Pajeros. I also like the current Jimny - compact, capable and reliable. Rented one before and drove around quite a bit but was not allowed to take it offroad. I also like the large V8s in the form of the Raptors, Ram etc. I also have a thing for the retro brethren in the form of Y61, LC71, LC 100.

I like to vote for @Frans M beautiful Toyota LC71 in my favorite silver color. I like this car for its boxy design and vintage appeal, Toyota reliability and yet very capable from the factory floor with perfect body-weight ratio makes it a standout vehicle within the Carnity off-road drives. The LC71 embodies a perfect blend of form and function, appealing to enthusiasts who value both aesthetics and performance.

One thing I would add for the White Rhino that not so many realize and i think as Carnity members we should all take pride in, while some will disagree or think that I am exaggerating is the following: The White Rhino was born in Carnity (Bought at 0 km and entered Carnity at 1500 km) with 0 mods and got raised in Carnity. It still is in Carnity. I will not go into the details of the mods in the White Rhino but i will only mention that not a single drill, outside of OEM parts exist in that SUV. What I think should be a point of pride for all Carnity members (while some will think it is an exageration) is that this SUV started a trend in Pajero mods not only in the UAE but also worldwide. I know because i still get messages on my instagram to date. The mod that started with the WR are the side molle panels that did not exist for Pajeros until i designed and executed them. Today we see a lot of Pajeros in the UAE and the GCC along with South America with a copy of this design. That SUV started a trend from scratch and it all happened in Carnity. Food for though for ppl who will vote. As for the rest of the mods, @Emanuel does a great job on promoting the WR and i wont come close to that

Suzuki Jimny. Completely underrated in UAE off-roading. Great power to weight, awesome JP reliability, and tackles everything in the hands of a competent driver @Rafey Hashmi @J-P L

When i hear a loud supercharger noise, followed by a hearty laugh, i know @Zed is in my convoy And it always brings a smile to my face! The hours Zeddy has put in this car, pre or post roll events, upgrades, and the huge amount of testing, tinkering, and trying to find very smart technical upgrades, makes me truly think he likes the LC100 more than anything in the world (well maybe except food and his family) 😁 I truly respect people who spend weekends next to their mechanic, trying new things, and learning on the go. I am sure thanks to his vehicles he is now much smarter than 99% of the car mechanics in this country. Hats off Zeddy! May we enjoy many more drives with you!

The White Rhino!!! Now is in @Emanuel's hands but a lot of credit also for @Mike M.!!! Beautiful Pajero (what else?), with the right mods. Not too much, not few. The bigger wheels up to the limit (265x70 r17), the elegant roof and the custom made white rhino lateral black metal support for the extra cans result in a really beautiful and elegant beast. I always get amazed when I have the opportunity to drive with the White Rhino!

Late is better than never... It was a great and relaxing night drive. I has been a while since I did a night drive and enjoyed it immensely. I came from an iftar event straight to the meeting point. Glad that everything worked out timing wise without any traffic fines. 😅 @M.Seidam Thanks for organizing this and for the suhoor treat towards the end of the drive.
