  1. I am still squeezing the last drops out of that adrenaline filled fun day to jumpstart the week and cross Tuesday Such a joy fellas! @Asif Hussain as usual great leadership and, most importantly, thanks for keeping the drive alive even if we were down to just three cars. What a pity if we would have missed out on such a beautiful day. @Sam Selim pleasure as always, and don’t forget to feed your car regularly 🤣 Until the next one LIWA LIWA!

  2. The standard Jimny traction control switch only works below speeds of 30kph, above that traction control comes on again. In 4L it is permanently off. So a kill switch is needed, at the time of writing a killswitch is about AED 200, or you can pull the fuse. To pull the ABS motor fuse. The fuse box is in front of the battery, Pull the purple 40A fuse, it is 2nd from the top left (position 7) on the dashboard 3 lights will come on Handbrake, ETS And ABS.

  5. What an absolute pleasure driving and spending the day with you both! @Asif Hussain, thank you so much for your amazing words and trip feedback. Perfectly planned and executed route. It was just a perfect day, we had everything these dunes have to offer, starting from amazing views (top of the world feels), extremely soft sand, technical parts, high elevated ridge riding and cress-crossing. A few refusals and stucks which in majority dealt with in self recoveries. @Beide Worku, I can only reiterate and as always great pleasure driving and seeing you as part of the convoy. See you soon LIWA LIWA!

  6. Trip Report We started the week with 7 cars signing, and by the weekend we were down to 3 cars for the drive. Liwa is definitely not a place to attempt the terrain with just three cars. Honestly, if I hadn’t driven before with @Sam Selim and @Beide Worku, I would have called the drive off. I had 100% trust in you both, and that confidence is what made me continue with the drive. A huge thank you to both of you for joining and making this drive possible. We all met on time on Sunday morning at the meeting point. Without making any changes to the planned route, I led the drive through those set of dunes with few breaks in between and we reached our destination Moreeb Hill, by 1 PM. After successfully climbing Moreeb Hill a couple of times, we took a 1 hour break in a shaded area. It was a great time with interesting conversations on topics from around the world. After the break, we began our return backtracking journey parallel to our first half track, and finished the drive right on time at our starting point. It was a wonderful day out in those massive and technical dunes with full of surprises at times. Despite a few refusals and some stuck situations, we managed everything smoothly as a team. At one point, I found myself stuck in a position where only a winch recovery could solve it. There was absolutely no room for recovery vehicle from the front or the back. But @Sam Selim with his Jeep, and @Beide Worku instructing on the radio, executed a fantastic reverse angle rope recovery. It was smooth, controlled, and flawless. Truly impressive teamwork.. Once again, thank you guys for making this drive possible. See you soon… LIWA LIWA!

  7. Hi @Luke K P, since it’s announced that tomorrow is gonna be the 1st day of ramadan, i don’t think it’s safe for me to join after my 1st day of fasting. As much as i got hyped up with the description of the drive, i have to withdraw unfortunately. Ramadan Kareem everyone

  13. So took my pajero with steel bumper and lights and roof racks with Sharjah plates to get inspected at motor city tasjeel. Failed due to "off-road modifications only allowed with Dubai plates" Went to tasjeel auto village in Sharjah and failed. Return car to stock. Tasjeel Dubai gave me following advice: Remove plates Cancel registration in Sharjah Get export certificate to Dubai Inspect within 24 hours in Dubai, Register with new random Dubai plates. Went back to motor City tasjeel, Passed without issue. Seems like Dubai plates with steel bumpers, rock sliders etc are no issues as long as combo above works. Used some rubber bumpers with double sided tape to put on front of bumper for inspection and removed once I picked up from carpark Good luck to others needing passing 🙏
