  1. Sorry my bad, thanks for clarifying.
  2. Many badging are just for marketing and advertising department. Unless you modify and/or protect under body properly Jeep Grand Cherokee have few week spots. @Brette can share his views as an owner + offroader. For FJC, visibility is not so bad as people scare about, if you are interested, I suggest test drive few and decide. FJC can really tick all boxes + extreme offroading with "Toyota Reliability" (Really a blessing and a big deal) for UAE extreme temperature. For FJC being discontinued model, don't worry too much as all car models once discontinue will have full dealer support with parts and maintenance for 10-15 years easy. If you like to go this route call up Al Futtaim and check what is their official stand on supporting FJC until 2025 or 2030. Because it was a part of an off-road club based on off-road subscription. Moved to general discussion, you should be able to access it now.
  3. Hi Bhaskar, welcome to Carnity and congrats on getting your driving license, that too in 7 months. Though you drafted your car buying concern quiet nicely, but before I proceed let me just bring one last game-changer point of view from being a car enthusiast + off-roader in Dubai. Read the topic below and ask yourself what type of offroading you and your wife are expecting from this new vehicle.
  4. Yes, I have split this into new topic as your original post was seeking help to know how is it than to suggest to add it to the list.
  5. Oops, I missed on that point. Now G012 and G015 - I personally have no comments, unless I use G015 too. But going by the Yokohama credibility and super happy with G012, I will definitely give G015 a try.
  6. @J J sad and truly shocked to see such incident. Glad you and Jeep are fine. Keep us updated. @Nivin If you drive a lot then 2019, if not then 2020 will be fetch additional 1 year of RTA passing.
  7. You still don't know the other half of the story why @Chaitanya D mentioned this. Ill leave the surprise for him to share/show.
  8. @Wrangeld G012 and G015 are almost identical and in some cases even superior. Correct me if I have missed something somewhere, love to know more about G015 research, please.

  11. I thought my experience was ancient, so they must have changed/improved now. But after reading these it reminds me vaguely too claiming the cooper warranty once with renaissance trading in Deira over some problem (cant recall the problem). https://www.consumeraffairs.com/tires/cooper.html?page=6
  12. Won't say fully bad, but not as great as Geolander. Cooper ATR are again heavy (more fuel consumption), beefy tires that looks nice but makes lot of highway noise due to aggressive tread pattern. They are good in self recoveries due to such pattern but limit the climb unless you have serious power mods. Worst thing of ATR and BFG I hated the most was loosing chunks after 6-12 months of use and make tire looking bald from different angles and shoulders.
  13. Not if I am driving with AC on. In some offroad drives, as we push too much so I switch off the AC and in those drives, phone do overheat, both iPhone and Samsung so its more of an ambient temperature than the mount or phone fault. But it never heated while on highway, as im always using the AC on tarmac.
  14. Seems like you have got some real heavy weight tires to increase so much fuel consumption? Have you done the weight check/research before buying? Is it also super noisy on road? With given your explanation, I also doubt that now your long hill climb would be limited too. I had a same issue with a big beafy, meaty BFG and then Cooper ATR on my Patrol.
  15. Try this Promate Dashboard Mount and you will be happy, its really good quality with really strong magnet. It's glue failed once last year and reported to promate and they send me free replacement and this new one is still going strong. I'm using this in Pajero for offroad with heavy Samsung note for taking pictures and videos. https://www.promate.net/products/magmount-4?variant=9176888213569
