It's better to learn from other people mistakes by analyzing these offroad accidents or mistakes done by thousands of offroaders every year. This will be an educational tool with open discussions regarding mishaps in off-roading based on your own experience and off-road knowledge. Please keep it simple and relevant for learning purposes rather than making any insulting or unwanted remarks. The whole objective is to learn from other offroaders mistake so we can off-road safely. Rahimdad replied to Rahimdad's topic in Off-Road Club's Offroad Drives
@EmVarlet you are already a freebie+ level and have managed most terrain well. As per my experience you are ready for this trip. Plus you are not faint at heart as you have proved to be a fast and keen learner. You are most welcome to join. @skumar83 we should be at the bottom of the Mountain inflated in day light to reach on top before sunset. You may leave whenever you run out of time. Hope you can experience the beauty of the sunset from the top of our Mountain.- 14 replies

As the season is just starting to sizzle and the summer seems to be setting in, but we are still blessed with cooler evenings and comfortable nights. We have already done so much, so how we can even better this experience? I hope that through this trip we are able to tickle everyone fancy. So it's going to be:- Desert dune bashing drive - CHECK Challenging mountain climb - CHECK BBQ, special food, shisha, drinks and laughter - CHECK Astro / Night photography - CHECK The plan is to meet everyone interested in the desert drive at the first Adnoc Petrol Station on Maliha Road, entering Khatam and do some awesome dunes to cross over on Fossil Rocks and reach Faya to play for some time. We will then head to the Tawi Khatimah Mountain where we will inflate to make our way to the mountain top where we can set up camp and relax with chat, food, drinks and shisha. Amazing photo opportunity awaits for all of us at night and to show off with our families and friends. Friday evening drive: Date: 04 May 2018 Meeting point: First Adnoc Petrol Station Maleha Road (https://goo.gl/maps/mzb26kxzte72) Meeting time: 2:30 PM - Leaving sharp at 3 PM Vehicle: Only 4x4 with good ground clearance without any body kit Basic recovery equipment such as 2 way radio, flag and air compressor are very important and carry lots of water and something for BBQ, snacks and dinner enough for yourselves and a little extra to share with all. Absolute compulsory to bring your stories, sense of humor and willingness to learn and followinstructions during the drive. Exact Terrain: Those interested please sign up on the calendar as per below link.

Spacers and A/T Tires for Pajero
Rahimdad replied to Mehdi's topic in Mitsubishi Pajero Forum in UAE
We have had somebody with Maxcis tyres on our desert drives and their performance is not so great on sand. My wife's Pajero is fitted with Kumho KL21 and for the roads they have served well so far. I am a big time fan of Nitto Dura Grapplers, they have served me well. Love the Yokohama Geolanders ATS that Gaurav bhai has on. -
Funtastic trip and Bilal your answer to a good learner was the award you received after the drive. Well done.

I thought I was a big fan of knight rider. A futuristic car which fight crimes with a touch of fun. But after I watch this video I change my mind.

Advise on buying 1998 Hyundai Galloper SWB
Rahimdad replied to DiamondDallas's topic in Hyundai General Discussion in UAE
Hyundai Galloper in the days borrowed design and parts all from our favorite Pajero. A very lethargic 3.0 V6 which never really got the market here in a good way. But in South Africa it is king and lots of people love this machine. You should get it quite cheap here as there is no resale value for this. -
Al Faqa Fewbie Drive - 6 April 2018
Rahimdad replied to Srikumar's topic in Off-Road Club's Offroad Drives
Well written @skumar83 I was about to give my account of the drive but you've mentioned everything. It is wonderful to pass your knowledge on and see someone grow in front of your eyes. For me it is a great pleasure to see @skumar83 grow from strength to strength as he now sucessfully leads drives. More heartening to see him lead with example for newer people like @EmVarlet for him to learn and grow from an absolute newbie to a newbie to now a fewbie+ drivers. I'm sure a few more drives and he will be able to attend any drive with us and soon post drives of his own. Great also to see the @skumar83 can notice the difference in @EmVarlet driving style which has improved immensely. Well done to all and thanks to @Carnity to give us such an opportunity to learn new skills and enjoy our time with like minded people.- 5 replies

Newbie fewbie drive Maliha 30 March
Rahimdad replied to Rahimdad's topic in Off-Road Club's Offroad Drives
Hello again everyone and a very Happy Easter to those who celebrate. Now down to the trip report. I know waking up early morning is one of the most difficult things to do on a weekend, but for those who made it were treated to an awesome day out. 7 cars met at the Adnoc pump and sharp at 7 am we were moving on to the deflation point. It was nice cool breeze which kept us comfortable even as the sun came out. At the deflation point we had a concise briefing to make everyone aware about the etticacies of driving in the sands and our plans for the day. We had 2 absolute newbies in the group as @BENNY THOMAS and @Ren who adapted well. We started with some easy dunes with little dips and drops which was managed well by both. My backup saw @EmVarlet@sertac as the man between the 2 newbies, @skumar83 and @Gaurav as my fly sweep. It was fun as we tried different scenarios and it was heartening to see everyone manage so well. We came to a tempting bowl and decided to play for a while as the newbies learned from the experienced to learn a thing or two. After the play time we headed to our breakfast stop which was peaceful, cleaned and a shade that was welcoming. We quickly setup the table and were soon enjoying the many treats that everybody managed. After breakfast we packed up just as quickly as we had laid the table and were headed to our last leg the Fossil Rocks. On the way we had a couple of stucks and the sweep team managed the situations in a quick way. Soon we were all on top of Fossil Rocks and enjoying the amazing view. The real challenge was yet to come, we were going to descent from Fossil Rocks which for first timers instills fear and yet is something everybody should experience. Everyone followed the orders well and we were all down within no time with all smiles as 2 of us accomplished what seemed impossible. It was now time to head out and inflate. Our deepest fear was the front lower lip of Jeep Grand Cherokee bumper, seeing it intact at the end was another sign of relief. As the Sun beat down and made it hot, we headed out, inflated and headed home. Once again thank you to all participants and well done to all. I loved the company of some of the most amazing people and looking forward to many more. Until next time I bid you all farewell. -
Al Wagan Intermediate Drive - 23 Mar 2018
Rahimdad replied to Gaurav's topic in Meet up and Drives - Off-road / Scenic
What a wonderful day out. Loads of fun in an amazing area, the wonderland for all off-road enthusiasts. Best thing was everybody was on time and we started our drive in good time. Although it was a bit hot, but some pleasant breeze kept it bearable. I think it was the best possible area at a perfect time. With our earlier experience we started from the Best part and after loads of playing we started heading to the pyramid area. Upon reaching the pyramid dunes we realized that the area was fenced and we had no way to cross it to get to the star dune formation. After a nice break with some awesome food and drinks which was accompanied by some light chit chat we started to head out. As we touched the plain grounds and we're making good time we were faced with some huge dunes we needed to tackle. With the sun gone down it was even more challenging. Step by step under Gaurav Bhai guidance we made to to the other plain grounds. But this was not our last challenge for this drive. After driving for a bit we came to a fence and we stopped to discuss how we were going to approach this challenge. Thanks to our fewbie passenger @EmVarlet we headed left of the fence and soon we saw an opening with a warning from the military that it was their shooting zone. Just about 100 meters from that opening was the end of the fence. We took the track next to the fence and headed out. After a long drive on the track I had to stop for a bit as a Gazelle approached and stood right in front of my car. Soon we reached the end of the track and onto paved road. As we inflated we tried to finish the snacks we had left from earlier. As we headed home after the inflation we realized there was one more challenge to face. The fog was thick and visibility was very low. Besides the fog was creating an illusion of driving in the dunes. We needed a break, so parked in the Adnoc pump to catch a quick nap and headed again back home. Another drive with fair bit of challenges, fun, learning, team work, snacks, drinks and above all great company to have an ear to ear smile. As I looked into the eyes, I saw the hunger for more adventures as such. Thanks to all participants for making this trip truly awesome. -
Fthanks or sharing @Mohit1 this is the true car community spirit. I have seen lot of time people solving their problems and not posting the solution. Well done Bhai.

Spacers and A/T Tires for Pajero
Rahimdad replied to Mehdi's topic in Mitsubishi Pajero Forum in UAE
Yes. My wife's Pajero has the bullbar and how hitch installed from So Habtoor Motors, but at the time of passing removed them, for the car passed and reinstalled them. Yokohama Geolanders ATS are a good choice for aggressive tire thread look, are light and good choice for tires. For the spacers do not get the Iranian home made ones, get proper branded Australian or American ones, but the tires should not be showing outside the car body, so you will have to change your fender flares also. LESs inside the car no issues, but head lamps is a no for RTA unless they come factory installed. LED bar should be covered at the time of passing. Hope this helps.
