Hi @Vanessa8580 I had to drop out of drive last minute due to personal reasons. I had to attend to some urgent matter which took all of my attention. Hope I get to join the drive with your lead soon.

Hi @Chaitanya D the car is currently in garage. Had a failing steering pump which is now being replaced today. I will take the car for a spin today to ensure it’s back to normal and ready to venture out!

@Rizwanm2 I tried to get out with Rd locked for a couple of minutes. The wheel spun with no movement. With traction ON with rd locked, the wheel found a little bit to nudge the car downwards and eventually get out. this trick imitates front differential lock with no effect on the Rear differential.

Hi @Ale Vallecchi I have a flat tyre on way to meeting point. Will be delayed in reaching the start point. I will have to to drop out from the drive today.

hi @Srikumar thanks! I would appreciate if I can know specific area that marshals think that I am not ready for the extreme drives. This will help to focus on the areas to prepare for the drive. It’s ok to put it on the public forum as it’s all in positive spirit of learning. These inputs are essential for us to grow!

Update: on yesterday’s drive with @Foxtrot Oscar in Sharjah , I got to test the switch. I was crested in a difficult position on the side slope. I switched to 4LLC With R/D locked and tried steering left right to wiggle out. However the wheels kept spinning. Then I switched to engage traction while keeping the rpm constant at less than 2k. Self recovery Within a minute. the car got out of the stuck and coasted down the slope. @Frederic thanks for making us aware of this solution!

@Foxtrot Oscar amazing drive! Your lead on Sharjah bowls are a amazing combination. I had two passengers with me on this one and they enjoyed the roller coaster ride. Thanks @Islam Soliman for keeping the convoy intact. Managing the pull on @Shaz Shah X on the side slope was the highlight for me! Well driven by everyone!

The google maps a take you right through the military camp.... avoid following... take left before the cam and follow the dirt track!!!!

a nice drive with just the right people.. this is sometime what we need to get away from the mundane activities of the working weekday! Who said only weekends are fun. It is always a pleasure to have these short weekday drives to get the nerves calm.....superb driving by everyone! Thanks Angela @Foxtrot Oscar for this excursion. @Islam Soliman for sweeping the convoy...and @Ashok chaturvedi for 2nd leading the convoy. Here’s the only picture I captured!
