  1. @Ale Vallecchi apart from the steering direction, could it also be that the approach of the jeep was not correct? the car capturing the video seems to be on the top of the dune whereas the Jeep tilted on the left.

Another query is if off-roading during summer should we be checking our tyre pressure frequently or keeping it lower as hotter air will increase the pressure. could that also be one of the culprits for this rollover.

  2. Many thanks @Gaurav, I appreciate the honor and fully understand it comes with responsibility towards myself, fellow Carnity drivers and environment, constant learning and sharing.

    Thanks @Frederic @Abdul Rahman Abdul Kader @Rahimdad @Mohamed Seidam

Frederic thanks for the support and motivation.

Rahimdad pleasure will be entirely mine tomorrow to be driving and learning from a legend himself, appreciate the kind words.

  3. Have been watching some of the videos posted and comments from the beginning and quite a lot of content, thanks to everyone who has contributed, as @Rahimdad said its wise to watch and learn what not to do.

Most of the accidents/events are due to people defying logic/gravity or basic off-roading sense (easier said than done), isn't it wise to feel your car, as in gravity and your car will tell you when not to force your self and your car (its important to make the safer choice at that split moment, rather than be egoistic and risk damage or injury), again easier said than done because we make split second decisions. Most of the time its human tendency to do the extra mile (sometimes peer pressure, if he can do it so can i...or just having a competitive nature) which creates trouble, after seeing these videos realize how bad some of these could be (Life changing incidents) and its important for each one of us to realize this sport can and has the power to change your life. It is fun but one mistake can cause pain to yourself or your loved ones or someone else.

I fully appreciate the grading and skill level now and thanks to all the Marshals/Leads that actually draw a safe path for all of us and promote safety.

    DRIVE REPORT

As a first drive of the New Year this was a nice drive to see our Carnity friends again, stretch our legs a bit, and lose some of the calories we have put on from the festive days.

I was in the good company of 2 Absolute Newbies @ZakWarah and @Salty3Arab who both drove great today, well done guys ! You can now both start joining Newbie level drives, just make sure to get an offroad flag and shovel.

Our Pajero crew @Abdul Rahman Abdul Kader @Danish Mohammad @Baskaran P.R again showed us the capabilities of their cars by taking on the terrain without much hiccups. Great work !

Buddies @Chris Meir and @Gavin Hill always a pleasure having you on the drives !

@Ken Hüüdma and @Shehab Alawadhi both driving great big and capable 4x4's, taking them effortlessly through the terrain, maybe except for Shehab his front bumper that decided to lose some weight.

@N@ved you've really impressed me today with that TJ of yours, it might be the perfect offroad toy but your driving skills showed serious talent !

@Thomas Varghese you were silently in the back but took the Xterra through every dune without any difficulties. Well done !

A big thanks to all for helping out with the shoveling and pushing, and a double thanks for @Mukundan Nair and @Vanessa8580 for helping out with the recoveries and guidance.

@ABSL ABSL we did not see you today, please give us a message in case you cannot make it, there were many people in the waitlist who would have loved to join in.

For all of you who have done 5 Carnity drives by now, you can apply for promotion to Fewbie by clicking on below link and filling up the online form.

  5. Hello Srikumar and Carnitiy family.

I have a 2006 Jeep Wrangler (grey). Has both front and back tow hooks, good condition. Have a deflator and compressor. have watched the Video briefing and understand the basics.

Limited off-road experience (driven on Gulf news, Khaleej Times, etc organized drives).

Do not have a radio, off-road flag and shovel (have a foldable one), intend to purchase theses after the drive.

Looking forward for this drive and many more to come hopefully.
