  1. Blasphemy ! Who said RRs get crested on a regular basis ? Hard to believe! I love the fire you are throwing and to your point i think the FJ is a very very solid third position. The new King is still sitting on the throne until a new vehicle comes out. I am getting my popcorn now @Noufal and @_Herman_ your points gave me an idea. I will do a THEMED drive to debate the Offroading King over breakfast. I just need a couple of weeks as i am tied down for 2 weeks. Keep an eye out for this drive. We will finish the debate there
  2. Interesting topic @Noufal. it is a can of worms you are opening since Wrangler owners will have a hard time accepting that there is a new King of the Dune in the desert :). That being said, my only feedback to you is that while i agree that Wranglers have more "Off-the-Shelf" customization options available in the market, nothing stops you from customizing an RR. You can simply conceptualize, design and execute as you wish in Dubai. You are only limited by your imagination. Happy to show you a customized RR next time we meet and maybe that would help you see the Art of the Possible for the RR. One question for you, any specific reason why are you are lost between the two, personally from a performance point of view, i do not see a basis for comparison as they are 2 completely different vehicles with different points of strength. i think it all comes down to what do you do more: driving on dunes or rock crawling. I could be over simplifying it and ill wait for others to comment but i think that is what it comes down to.
  3. Hi all, @nithish468 @Noufal @Nabeel Abdul Rahman @Eddie-Dune-Glider @Infaz @Frederic118 @Lazy Frog @UvinOverland @Danie @Aringga @Andrei S and everyone in the waitlist. Unfortunately we have to cancel this drive for this week for logistical reasons. We will reschedule it asap and hopefully you will all be able to make it. Apologies for the inconvenience as I was looking forward to it as well. Stay tuned for when it will be rescheduled again! Thanks for your understanding.
  4. We request every member who joins this drive to go through the information below and strictly follow these guidelines, etiquette, and responsibilities. MUST READ AND COMPLY Environmental Policy Offroad Flag Guideline Two Way Radio Guideline Off road Driving Etiquette's Emergency details for all off-roaders Off Road Driving - Roles & Responsibilities Drive Details Level: Fewbie and above (all levels) Meeting time: 8:00 AM (SHARP - Without any exceptions) Convoy will leave at 8:15 SHARP Meeting Point: https://maps.app.goo.gl/vLHyE4akjbn7FaGg8 Themed Drive Action Plan: For most off-roaders, the journey into the desert begins with a simple motivation: to enjoy the UAE outdoors with friends and family. Whether it’s camping under the stars, setting up a picnic in the dunes, or exploring new landscapes together, this shared outdoor experience is what led many to start their off-roading journey with Carnity. This themed drive is designed to reconnect with that original purpose—while helping participants become better prepared for everything that happens beyond the drive itself. Starting from Lisaili, the convoy will make its way toward Al Qudra, with the option to pass through and play in the dunes of Murqab. The route offers a balanced mix of flowing terrain and playful sections, allowing drivers to enjoy the drive while refining their off-road skills. At the end of the drive (probably the last 30 minutes), the focus shifts from driving to sharing. Participants will exchange real-life experiences around: Off-roading gear Camping and picnic setups What gear is truly useful in UAE conditions Lessons learned from trial, error, and experience Practical advice for new and seasoned off-roaders alike This is not about showcasing the most expensive equipment—it’s about understanding what works, what lasts, and what adds real value to enjoying the outdoors in the UAE. The aim is for everyone to leave with clearer insights, better decisions on gear, and renewed inspiration to enjoy desert adventures with the people who matter most. Don't forget to get your camping chair for the sharing session! Type of Car: Any proper 4x4 with front and back tow hooks and 8-10 inches of ground clearance. What to bring along: Loads of water & snacks (for yourself), smiles, enthusiasm and a willingness to learn. Mandatory off-road gears: Newbie and above, Tire deflator, tire pressure gauge, compressor, walkie-talkie radio, off-road flag, shovel, first-aid kit, fire extinguisher, Intermediate and above, Tow Rope and 2 soft Shackles. Note: Please ensure that all of your off-road gear is securely tied down with ratchet straps in the rear compartment of the vehicle. Bungy type tie downs are not suitable for tying down off-road gear. Approximate finish time: 12:00 PM P.S. Only join if you have a compressor to inflate your tires after the drive. LIMITED SPOTS AVAILABLE This drive is limited to 10 cars only. RSVP will close on Saturday - 11 AM. If the RSVP is full, you can add your name to the waitlist, once anyone drops, you will be moved to the RSVP list. RSVP will close a day prior to preparing a convoy list. Latecomers will be returned back - Without any exceptions. Members without RSVP will be returned back - Without any exceptions.
