  3. There are lot of these tour operators who do this. But you can just buy this board from Souq.com for around 750dhs and start your own adventure. But as mentioned in that post its not a sport for everyone as it is too demanding and time-consuming. But its fun to do it on smaller dunes, few of my friends tried it already. @Rashid prime Share your videos or pics
  4. @sertac Thats a 2009 post dude... i felt like i just did time travel.,.. Any recent updates anyone?
  5. Range Rover P38 - ABS fault message displays and ABS, Brake, and TC light blinks. For all those having all the 3 lights on when braking here is the solution. However kindly check your ABS too along with replacing the Brake Accumulator.
  6. Has anyone experienced Sandboarding here in Dubai? Any prefered locations which are easily accessible without breaking any car parts to reach there? Not looking for high dunes but reasonably tall to slide off. Kindly share your experiences and videos/pics etc if any.

Qareen Al Aish Island in Abu Dhabi is an important place where migratory birds break their journeys. The island has succeeded in attracting a multitude of bird species, both resident and migrant. A survey showed the existence of 67 species of land and marine birds which stop at Qareen Al Aish Island from October to May. Statistics show that 30 per cent of the birds on the island are on the priority list of protected bird species regionally. Five species that are of great importance the world over are also found on the island.
  9. The new 2018 Mustang GT will be available with an optional active exhaust system, which can be quiet when it needs to be but open up and let the V-8 growl when you want it to. Add a little bit of programming, and Quiet Start was born. According to Ford, Quiet Start, also known as "Good Neighbor Mode," is essentially a timer you can program to automatically put the active exhaust into its quietest mode during certain hours, even if you parked it in wide-open track mode. Be a good neighbor with the 2018 Ford Mustang, with Quiet Exhaust mode and Quiet Start* features that are a part of the available new active valve performance exhaust system. Quiet Start lets drivers schedule the time of day when either the Mustang GT’s V8 engine roars, or when it stays quiet for neighbors.
  10. Volkswagen announced today that the VW Microbus, the beloved van popular in the Sixties, will be making a comeback in 2022. CEO of the North American Region, Volkswagen, Hinrich J. Woebcken added: “We are delighted that our parent company has taken the decision to produce the I.D. BUZZ. This vehicle is the perfect balance between emotion, usability, and sustainability, while also showcasing our technological leadership. The high seating position, cargo capacity, overall versatility and all-wheel drive option packaged into such an appealing design is just what our customers want from us. And it’s the perfect fit for the zero-emissions American lifestyle.” The I.D. BUZZ won’t just be a passenger vehicle. Just like the classic T2, the I.D. BUZZ will both haul people and haul freight. "Along with a minibus version, we'll also be offering an I.D. BUZZ CARGO variant for zero-emissions delivery of goods,” said Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles CEO Dr Eckhard Scholz. "With Level 3 autonomous capability, this is an ideal concept for an electric van, particularly for delivering packages and goods to the inner cities." Although Volkswagen's oldest and newest Microbuses will be separated by more than seven decades when the new model is launched, the I.D. BUZZ undoubtedly has the original's genes, as it offers maximum utilization of space on the footprint of a mid-size passenger car. Based on the new all-electric architecture, the production version of the I.D. BUZZ will incorporate many design ideas from the concept car, including multi-variable seating, interactive connectivity, and highly automated driving. Volkswagen is targeting a 2020 launch of its ID line of e-mobility vehicles with the compact ID hatchback first, followed by an as-yet unrevealed ID SUV and then the ID Buzz van sometime between 2022 and 2025.
  11. Thats a very good tip. Its a must, to know this fact before travelling on long weekend's to Oman. The long queues can get really frustrating.

  13. So sorry to hear about your spouse. Living with a long time injury really sucks. I can understand. Thats the most important thing nobody ever gets. That, the moment you choose to use your phone whilst driving it's not only you but you are endangering everyone around you. I don't understand why is it so difficult to fathom? How important is really that call or text that one has to risk at so many levels? For texting, there are apps for calling there are hands-free gadgets. People seem to spend a fortune buying expensive phones but never pay to buy an app or headset... that's the epitome of stupidity.
  14. Wow thats a beauty!! May i ask how much did it cost? I know a guy in Sharjah. He is very resourceful maybe he can help. You can call and ask. Mubashir - 0502282974 See Also
  15. How to Whatsapp or Text while driving: 3 Easy steps. 1. Buy a Tesla. Engage the autopilot and text until your battery drains off. 2. Employ a full-time Chauffer. Yes they are availble here in Dubai. 3. If you can't afford one, give the phone to your wife/girlfriend/sister/brother/parent whoever the hell is sitting next to you while driving and let them text for you. Please never ever text and drive. Please don’t even touch your ducking phone while driving. There has been a plethora of research and studies conducted on the negative impacts of texting while driving. Motor vehicle crashes are among the top two causes of injury death throughout a person’s lifetime.3 They also are the No. 1 cause of work-related death. In 2010, an estimated minimum of 160,000 crashes involved texting or emailing, versus 1.1 million crashes involving talking on cell phones. If you are still insistent and think that you were born to do multitasking and endanger pedestrians and your fellow passengers live while driving please at least consider using the following apps, which assist you to reduce your phone usage whilst driving. 16. True that. Really thoughtful and engaging write-up. Keep it up @Rahimdad. ! Maybe one day you might have your own book. Dubai to Dunes - A book of adventures in the desert by Rahimbhai.
  17. Try to get maximum footage from rear mounted camera, it looks awesome. ! Camera on the dashboard showing the rear side of the car is no fun to watch. Also hope to see some drone shots too soon.. Gaurav bhai.
  18. Maybe this might help decide the dates for everyone.. Friday is most preferable i think.
  19. @Rahimdad , Looking forward to meet you too and plan a trip. I am no expert, am just an adventure seeker. I take the road less traveled. Btw the route which i have mentioned is not a Wadi drive its a normal highway going all the way to Fujairah. Also the drive to Showka Dam is a normal road there is no danger of landslide or any such mishap along the way. I was just there last weekend. Anyway this was just a suggestion if you have any shutterbugs in your group as its a more scenic drive. If possible will try join you guys.
  20. @Gaurav An alternate and interesting route to consider would be taking the sharjah kalba road. This is a newly built road with tunnels on the way. Its a very scenic drive as well. Also on the way you can pass by Wadi Shawka Dam which a nice picnic spot.
  21. The supercar was impounded when its owner - a pilot - was stopped at a check-point after officers noticed it had a fake number plate.Despite a series of appeals, the devastated owner has been unable to halt the destruction of the luxury car. The destruction of the vehicle ends a three-year legal battle to save it after the owner was stopped in 2013 in accordance with Taiwanese traffic laws.Ironically the Murcielago takes its name from a famous fighting bull which survived being stabbed with a sword 24 times. Italian manufacturer Lamborghini - which regularly takes its creations' names from bullfighting -  built just 4,099 Murcielagos, ending its run in 2010. In a continuation of Lamborghini's tradition of naming its cars after stars from the world of bullfighting, the Murciélago is named for a fighting bull that survived 24 sword strokes in an 1879 fight against Rafael "El Lagartijo" Molina Sánchez, at the Coso de los califas bullring in Córdoba, Spain. Murciélago fought with such passion and spirit that the matador chose to spare its life, a rare honor. The bull, which came from Joaquin del Val di Navarra's farm, was later presented as a gift to Don Antonio Miura, a noted local breeder; thus began the famed Miura line of fighting bulls, and the name for one of Lamborghini's greatest designs. Murciélago is the Spanish name for the bat. In the Castilian Spanish spoken in most of Spain the word is pronounced [muɾˈθjelaɣo], with a voiceless dental fricative [θ] (as in English thing). However, the Italian automaker often uses the Southern Spanish and Latin American Spanish pronunciation, [muɾˈsjelaɣo], with an sound. Many people in Italy pronounce it [murˈtʃeːlaɡo], as if it were an Italian word.
  22. We drove to Al Qua'a desert to shoot the Milkyway. That region of the desert is almost with zero light pollution and hence a very good location to do night photography. The area is surrounded by beautiful dunes very photographic.
  23. Yeah,I have been there.. its the 2nd highest mountain in UAE. The drive up there is not for a beginner as the roads can get very steep. But once up there the view is amazing. The road access to the top is restricted. The climb up till the military check point is amazing with all those steep and quirky hairpin bends. Jabal Yibir (Arabic: جبل يبر‎‎) is a 1,527 m (5,010 ft) tall mountain in the United Arab Emirates. It is located in the Hajar Mountains near 25°40′0″N 56°8′0″E. The highest point in the UAE is Jebel Jais (Ras Al Khaimah) at about 1,910 m just across the border from Jabal Bil Ays in Oman.
