Xterra tow points installation

Kalahari

Recommended Posts

Thanks to the concern raised by @Kalahari I found another major problem I would have faced if I didn't remove the bash plate of my XTERRA. The bash plate was constantly battered by the nose hits in the desert ditches and was bent upwards and made the radiator bracket bend too. The bracket was rubbing against the radiator and would have cast a hole in the radiator causing it to leak. As per the workshop the bash plate is only to ward away some of the hits but its not totally protective. Mine is a 10mm Aluminium bash plate. Still once the bash plate was bent it made the radiator bracket bend too. Thank God I didn't have to get stuck in the desert due to a leaking radiator soon. Imagine the effort to have made to recover the vehicle in that situation.

Kindly find the attached pictures.

@Gaurav I didn't experiment on the tow hooks by getting it fabricated myself. Got it fabricated & installed in a reputed off road garage in Dubai. Have posted the pictures. Please go through them and approve

@Ale Vallecchi please go through the pictures and kindly approve my participation in yours and future drives.

Don't worry @Thomas Varghese. All seems good. Will see you soon.
