This drive is organized in full compliance with the COVID19 guidelines. We expect every member that joins this drive to go through below information and strictly follow these guidelines.

Drive Details

Level:  Intermediate and above 

Meeting time: 06:00 am Sunday (deflated and ready to move)

Type of Car: Any proper 4x4 with front and back tow hooks and 8-10 inches of ground clearance.

What to bring along: Loads of water, snacks (for yourself), smiles, face mask, rubber gloves, enthusiasm and willingness to learn.

Approximate finish time: 10:00 am

P.S. Only join if you have a compressor to inflate your tires after the drive.

 

LIMITED SPOTS AVAILABLE:

• Limited to 10 cars maximum. RSVP will close on Friday - 9 AM
  • If the RSVP is full and you wish to join, please mention your name on the drive thread to add on the waiting list
• Latecomers will be returned back - without ANY EXCEPTIONS.
• Members without RSVP will be returned back - without ANY EXCEPTIONS.
• Members that do not confirm the terms of the COVID requirements will be removed from the RSVP list.
• Please withdraw your RSVP, if you aren't joining, so your spot can be taken by others.
• Repeated no-show members after RSVP will have their account suspended for a month.

Dear Friends 

Hello and welcome to Sweihan drives II . Along Al taf road E16 and further south will be our start point but this time we will head east toward the rising sun ☀️ . The plan is to cross Sweihan from west to east direction ending up somewhere at E95 Nahel road. 
We can expect all kind of stuff along from medium to large dunes and in a time it can get very massive ( leaving Nagara and old lady dune for part III  🤫)😄 . Sand is always soft to super soft which entails to keep the momentum running appropriately to get through it . Possibly we might get to relax for some time at ghafeten bowl before it gets technical afterwords till we catch the track to exit . 
please check on your cars and gears in advance as we still have time .

Not cause any confusion the last one from all direction and the nearest to our starting point is the Sweihan gas station

the only thing it doesn’t have super ( blue ) only special ( green ) 😅 and no cafeteria .so preload your snacks before ahead 😅

Hi @M.Seidam, there has been dense fog the last two days, not starting to clear until 7 am ish. If it continues, should we consider a slightly later start time? Only last time I went to Sweihan a few weeks back with Srikumar, we had to sit and wait until 8:15 am before we could start driving.

Thanks @Tom B yes I am aware of this possibility and plan B and even C is in the background not in start time but also the trip route itself . Let’s see 24 hours before the drive and will notify any changes in the proper time . Meanwhile we stick to plan A

P.S for this drive specifically and Sweihan generally my advice for any one not to have his first intermediate drive in the area of Sweihan.
