Night Newbie Desert Drive - Sweihan Night Adventures - Abu Dhabi - 14 Jun 2024

DRIVE DESCRIPTION

With the summer in full bloom, one of the best times to enjoy the UAE wilderness is at night. Driving at night brings a different set of challenges. While the pace would be lower compared to the day, the reduced visibility increases the level of the game.  This time we would be heading to Little Liwa or Sweihan where we will be presented with some of the finest terrain that UAE has to offer. 

Its not mandatory to have offroad lights for this drive. 

We request every member that joins this drive to go through the below information and strictly follow these guidelines, etiquettes and responsibilities.

DRIVE DETAILS

Level: Newbie and above

When:  14 June 2024, Friday

Meeting time:   08:30 PM- Sharp (Without any exceptions)

Approximate finish time:  12:00 AM (Saturday)

Type of Car: Any proper 4x4 with front and back tow hooks and 8-10 inches of ground clearance.

What to bring along: Loads of water, snacks (for yourself), smiles, enthusiasm and willingness to learn.

Mandatory off-road gears: Tire deflator, tire pressure gauge, compressor, walkie-talkie radio, off-road flag, shovel, first-aid kit, Tow Rope, 2 Shackles and fire extinguisher.

LIMITED SPOTS AVAILABLE

• This drive is limited to 12 cars only. 
• Please withdraw your RSVP, if you find you are unable to join, so your spot can be taken by others in the waitlist.
• If the RSVP is full, you can add your name to the waitlist, if an RSVP attendee removes themselves, you will be moved from the waitlist to the RSVP list as an attendee.
• A convoy list will be sent out the day prior to the drive.
• Latecomers will be returned back - Without any exceptions.
• Members without RSVP will be returned back - Without any exceptions.
• Repeated no-show members after RSVP will have their account suspended for a month.

hi my vehicle does not have a offroad lights ,its only standard on road lights ,can i still join ?

Hi @vinayaknam, off road lights are not mandatory, your normal headlights will be just fine in high beam as you will have cars in front and behind you.

Hi, any news regarding this drive? Is it confirmed?

Hi @Giacomo @Victor Socaciu @Fares Adel @nithish468 looks like we are going to have a short convoy which means we can do a bit more exploration in the night wilderness. Brace yourself for a lot of fun and excitement.  We shall be using Carnity Channel 3 (446.056) for this drive.

Convoy numbering would be decided at the meeting point.

once again thanks for the amazing drive @Srikumar and @Gaurav! 
It was my first night drive and I enjoyed it a lot.

I’m definitely looking forward to more night drives
