DRIVE DESCRIPTION

Welcome to Carnity off road club Fewbie drive in the beautiful Abu Dhabi Desert, please ensure your off-road gear is as per your rank and you bring lots of enthusiasm and an abundance of willingness to learn with you.

Drive Details

Level:  Fewbie and above

Meeting time: 6:30 AM (SHARP - Without any exceptions)

Meeting Point:  https://maps.app.goo.gl/FxrySCvKzeZLVdx7A

Type of Car: Any proper 4x4 with front and back tow hooks and 8-10 inches of ground clearance.

What to bring along: Loads of water & snacks (for yourself), smiles, enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.

Mandatory off-road gears: Newbie and above, Tire deflator, tire pressure gauge, compressor, walkie-talkie radio, off-road flag, shovel, first-aid kit, fire extinguisher, Intermediate and above, Tow Rope and 2 soft Shackles.

Note: Please ensure that all of your off-road gear is securely tied down with ratchet straps in the rear compartment of the vehicle. Bungy type tie downs are not suitable for tying down off-road gear.

Approximate finish time: 10:30 AM

P.S. Only join if you have a compressor to inflate your tires after the drive.
 

LIMITED SPOTS AVAILABLE

• This drive is limited to 10 cars only. RSVP will close on Friday - 1 PM.
• If the RSVP is full, you can add your name to the waitlist, once anyone drops, you will be moved to the RSVP list.
• RSVP will close a day prior to preparing a convoy list.
• Latecomers will be returned back - Without any exceptions.
• Members without RSVP will be returned back - Without any exceptions.
• Please withdraw your RSVP, if you aren't joining, so your spot can be taken by others.
• Repeated no-show members after RSVP will have their account suspended for a month.

Dear Desert Wanderers, @Mei ling, @J-P L, @ChrisW, @Frans M, @Essam Ahmed Ibrahim, @Hani crest king, @Talal H, @Giacomo, @Ahmed Farouk, @Abhishek Chikara, @Abdullah A., @JAISROCK, @B.K., @Wayne Momsen, @Paul Eldho, @Zulfikhar Naiyar, @Johannes Roux, @Aser, @Luke K P, @Gary F, @Mark B and @Benje_Junior, as you may have noticed already we have a full drive and 7 waitlisted, the good news is that we have 5 support team members and one of which is our very own Lead @Benje_Junior. So we will be able to accommodate everyone for this drive, unless things change between now and Friday 12-noon.

Therefore, in order for us to plan this drive, please ensure that if your own plans have changed that you remove your RSVP as soon as possible.

The plan is to split into two convoys leave the meeting point in Sweihan and head to Al Fayha (reversal of our usual routing) along the way meeting up at the foxhole rock formation mid drive, splitting into two convoys will depend on how many confirmed members we have Friday lunchtime.

Dear Desert Wanderers,   @Mei ling, @ChrisW, @essam ibrahim,   @Talal H,   @Wayne Momsen, @Paul Eldho, @Luke K P, and @Mehmet Volga, RSVP for this event is now closed.

As previously mentioned @Benje_Junior will take half of the convoy, we have decided that given the mix we have, we will add a new event that we will make a FB+, all of the Fewbies will come with me in convoy 1. All Fb+ and Intermediate will go with Ben on his fb+ the level can be up to you guys and whatever you are comfortable with. Therefore, do not be surprised if your name disappears from the main event and you appear in a new one as we move you guys between events, the meeting point remains the same and we will meet up in the middle for a chat and coffee break etc.

Convoy 1 Davie will line up on the right of the track and convoy 2 Ben will line up on the left side of the track

Convoy has been updated 

Davie will use Ch4 446.081 and Ben will use Ch2 446.031

Excellent Saturday morning! Thanks for guiding us @Davie Smooth_Operator.

The start of drive was a new area for me and I enjoyed seeing the new terrain and marking some  spots to explore later on. 

We all moved very smoothly and tackled everything with ease. Great to catch up with the other convoy at the fox rocks for a break.
